Help I got hungry while out and stopped to get bananas. This lady had a rotissoire chicken in line in front of me. I could have mugged her for her bloody chicken. Funny thing is I have never eaten one. Never liked the way they looked in their little bed of dripping grease.
I went straight home and have not left again. Cause I can not seem to get it out of my mind.

Not encouraging you to fall off of a 100% raw lifestyle (if you are on one), but if the urge is powerful enough to tip you over the edge into meat-territory, you can quite easily make fantastic fake chicken from tofu.
Alternatively, why don't you find the type of herbs traditionally used to season chicken such as rosemary etc, and use them on a raw patty to get rid of that meaty craving ;)

You are craving chicken but you've never eaten chicken?
That's a pickle right there.
Ummmm.............yeh I don't know sorry. I would say to get it out of your head by remembering how chickens are living creatures. It's just plain not nice to eat chickens. Maybe remembering that would get rid of the craving. I mean after all, you are craving flesh of another creature... that's just gross to me (vegetarian all my life).

Sometimes people who have a really strong craving for protein are really craving fat. Have you been restricting your fat at all? If so then perhaps you should have some. Otherwise, wait until the lady's attention is on something else before grabbing the chicken out of her hands and make sure that you have a clear getaway route planned!

Well, I have not intentionally restricting anything. I did have an avocado with salt and that seems to have helped abit

http://www.kentuckyfriedcruelty.com/anderson-vid.aspHope my post wasn't too abrasive. Sometimes folks can read a short post and really not know the author's intent. Hopefully, I can clarify below.
I used to eat alot of chicken and never gave it a second thought of what I was actually eating. It wasn't until I went RAW that my views changed on the topic of eating animals.
Anyway, I hope you find the courage and strength to eliminate animal products from your diet. Hopefully, you can view the above video so that you'll have extra motivation to avoid eating chickens in the future. Howard Lyman (The Mad Cowboy) also has some good material to discourage the eating of chickens and other animals.
Best of luck to you on your raw journey.

I have been vegetarian for over 10 years, and when I eat 100% raw, I have no cravings, but when I have just a little bit of cooked, like canned olives, or bottled salad dressing, then I craved all kinds of things, one time, I drove past a fast food place, and started craving their burgers, now I NEVER eat those kinds of things, and I haven't eaten meat in 10 years, but I was craving a cooked meat thingy.
Actually, I was craving the charbroiled "anything" that was what I was really wanting.
So, when that happened I went home and made as much raw food as I could think of all my favorites, and ate as much as I wanted, I just kept eating raw pecan burgers, and raw pizza and raw enchiladas, until I couldn't even think of a burger.
Again, just think this is a healing, so GET EXCITED, when you crave something, remember that your body is cleansing.
And this will pass, just remember to eat 100% raw (if that is your choice) and this craving will pass, it will be alot easier,
besides, if you were actually craving chicken, you would be craving it raw not cooked.
So, when we say we are craving something cooked, it is usually the fat, or the sauce or the charcoal on it.

no little old ladies can be vicious when it comes to protecting the roast chickens. At least I preceive this to be the case.
The craving did pass after 2 avocados, a banana, and an avocado tomato onion sandwich.

No offense taken. I know that my views are different then most. I like meat. Okay not much meat just bacon and fish. I have no intentions of giving them up forever. I hope that when my weight finally settles down and my sinuses too I will be able to add meat back in.
Of course on a more realistic note. I thought the same when I gave up beef and that has been years, Oh and pork and chicken.
I am just not willing to imagine life on a long term basis without salmon and bacon.
We will have to see.

I'm glad it passed & I'm happy you're better now.
I know about craving fish (omega this & that), but when I craved chicken I noticed it turned to cooked/fried ANYTHING I was smelling at the same time. Going into town can be so evil, LOL! I'm always jealous of those that dont live near a fast food place. We are SMOTHERED with them.

I hope that I find that to be the case. Now I like to just keep it in the back of my mind in that special place to just pull out once in a while and remember.
I always notice our memory of food is usually so much better than reality especially when we have not had it in a while.

I hear ya about the bacon.. I walked in to a liquor store that doubles as a breakfast joint the other day to get some ice (for my smoothies :D) and the smell of bacon sent me into a tailspin.. I was thinking about it and craving it for hours. Just the thought of the smell of bacon.. especially maple bacon... mmmmm. oh wait.. ummm.
