We are both on our 3rd day of raw. We are both doing pretty good but feeling a little detoxish (nice made up word).

This morning I made us grapefuits with a little honey drizzled on top and then a smoothy with apples, banana, pineapple and orange juice.

The only difference between our morning food was tea. My hubby is trying to break the caffene thing so has switched from coffee to a green tea with jasmine (He drinks this all the time so it was not new). He sipped a tiny bit with his breakfast and then left the rest to sit.

Just before we got into the car to head out for the day my hubby ran over and downed the rest of his strongly steeped cold tea.

We got in the car and about 2 minutes later he suddenly got nauseous and about 2 seconds later he threw up all over the car and then was able to get out and threw up every last thing that was in his stomach.

He felt much better afterwards. Then started feeling hungry again after a couple hours and ate a salad and was fine. He does seem to be feeling the detox right now though.

I still feel perfect fine.

What do you think happened here? Did I do something wrong? Was it the tea?

Help, I feel awful,
Chanda

Sorry, no resolution to your problem, but it's my 3rd day raw too. So just a little 3rd day high five for you.

WOWSERS! I wish I was there  :D

Glad to hear he is doing better.........is the car alright?

Maybe since you both were already feeling icky that all those frutis mixtures plus powerful green tea was just too much for the tummy ;)

Take it easy,
:)

I'm wondering why you are taking the reponsibility. Your answer most likely is in the statement:
Just before we got into the car to head out for the day my hubby ran over and downed the rest of his strongly steeped cold tea.

But, you knew that already, didn'tcha? :D

Good detox. Congratulate him for me, 'k? :)

Ok, yeah you are right.

I think I feel responsible because this is the first time in our marriage that I am doing the 'cooking'. He seems to think it was all the acid fruit that caused it. He is certainly willing to consider that it was the tea though.

I think he is also (a little bit) looking for an excuse not to do raw. He is one of those guys who thinks he is going to live forever no matter what he does to his body. I am always the one trying to convince him to be healthier. (and now I might have made him barf, Eeeeek)

Glad that he felt better after he hurled......sometimes I drink green tea and I am fine and sometimes if I don't have enough food in my tummy it makes me throw up or at least nauseous for hours....I usually have mine at the end of the day so I know I have had enough food.....

I get nausea sometimes from drinking tea. It has to be VERY light tea like white tea. Even green tea makes me nauseas. I keep trying it because everyone thinks its the greatest so I keep thinking I am missing out. I like the taste but most of the time it tastes bitter to me, so I don't get it about tea.

I have actually thrown up from drinking tea as well. But not downing it all at once though.
