I am on day 16 I have the windows open and watching the heavy miserable wonderful rainy gloom.
I did not even remember I went to bed with them open. Something I never do cause my sinuses just wreak havoc on my poor nose and body.
Well, I did not even realize till someone told me that they were still open.
A little bit of congestion but nothing like before. Yep pee

I can completely relate. I spent years sleeping with my mouth open at night bc my sinuses would always block as soon as I lied down. I thought this was normal. After a few weeks of doing raw, lo and behold they were clear as a whistle. Beautiful.

I have had sinus challenges ever since I was a child, runny eyes, ears and nose, my throat would close up and I couldn't breath, it was terrible, allergic to everything, my sister, son and dad too.
my sister is still on massive medication, but I have not had any sinus challenges or ear or throat either since going 100% raw, you wouldn't think one day of eating raw foods could do it's magic that quickly, but it does,
and my son was the same way, major sinus challenges and acid reflux, he used to take alot of medication,
on his first day raw, he was able to sleep with no medication, and stopped taking it that day, hasn't taken any since, he is on two weeks now, and still no medication at all.
YIPPEE is RIGHT!!!!
We RAWK!!!

I wish I could say this I have had to take it since starting. We had a major front come through so when I started I could hardly breath. What's funny is I cannot remember if it was one or two days ago I forgot to take the medication. I am very bad about remembering to take medication. Since I insist on seeing if the sinuses are still going to bother me this time is my philosophy.
So I guess now I am completely drug free, cause no sinus or headache medication. Now Headache medication stopped at day 1. The day is getting better and better.
Yeepee.

Oh man did I speak to soon. I was great with sinuses till Monday night. I could not breathe, could not sleep, but Tuesday at 1pm I caved and took medication, my poor nose is cracked and hurts, I sneezed so much. I had an asthma attack late tuesday night. Hubby is really worried.
I am disappointed. I really thought I was getting better.
Ugh.

Sometimes it's a matter of two steps forward, one step back. Since going raw, my sinuses and asthma have really improved, and I'll have periods of weeks or so when my piping is very clear, but then the body will start healing on a deeper level, which means detox. . . during those times, the body starts clearing out again, and when it does, it means I wheeze more and my sinuses become clogged and then runny. . . but it's something to be joyful about, bc I know I'm on my way to better health. Maybe it works the same way with you. . . in which case maybe that knowledge will help you tolerate the discomfort more.
When I did my 30-days in February, I felt immediately clear. . .then two weeks into it I had the worst sinus pain and blockage. I thought I was coming down with another infection, wanted to call my doc and get some antibiotics. Luckily my husband talked me out of it, I ate very lightly, rested, drank garlic tea with cayenne, after about a week I got better and felt great.

Don't despair!!!! I have had sinus problems all my adult life (including two surgeries to open them up) and have been 100% raw almost a year. My sinuses are still clogged, but some days feel pretty good. I know that things are changing and that takes time! I have had 4 - 6 sinus infections a year for almost 20 years. I have not had one since going raw.
You'll notice an improvement, but might still need some assistance until your body cleans out enough. Keep it up and you'll reap the rewards!

Sounds like you are doing well.
Are you aware of 'the sinus drain' massage technique.
Its often used or taught as part of the indian head massage that has become so popular these days.
Its very simple and very effective.
you can do it yourself, well worth learning! :)

How to do a sinus massage.
Some areas of the face are very sensitive so don't apply too much pressure (that will cause pain.)
Begin by gently massaging your forehead and cheeks with small circles, working from the center of your nose going upwards.
Find the V-shaped notch about 2cm away from your nose, on the underside of your eyebrow ridge. Then with both thumbs on either side apply firm pressure here for 10 seconds, release and repeat 3 times.
Then move outward about 1cm apart and apply and release pressure here three times.
With the pads of your middle fingers, feel for bony indentations at the bottom, outer edges of your nose. Apply and release pressure here also.
With the fourth and middle fingers, apply upward and outward pressure at the top of your nose, between your eyebrows.
With these same fingers, apply pressure along the underside of the cheekbone.
Gently massage, with small circles, along your jawbone from your ear to your chin. Relax your face by yawning, then repeat.
Gently massage or apply pressure to the top of your head, especially right around the crown. You can recognize the pressure points by noting the especially tender spots; that's an indication that some attention is needed.
When you cant sleep at night or cant work a sinus massage could be a quick fix to a normal life style.
Its simple and it works!
You can add extra movements to this, like making larger circles beneath the ear lobes and stroking down the sides of the neck and massaging under the armpits to encourage further clearing if you wish.
Hope it helps
Blessings :)
