View Full Version : Is it possible to have too much wheat grass?
I'm still fighting this cold. I thought wheatgrass might do the trick. I bought the frozen stuff. How many do you think I can have each day?

I don't think it is possible to have too much within your own personal limits. My mom drinks wheatgrass like its going out of style, literally.
Drink as much as your body says it wants. Just listen to it :) Hope you feel better. There is always moderation, but if your body is craving wheatgrass then I would drink as much as you feel you need.

Well, first of all, a "cold" is detox and nothing that should be "fought". Suggestion ~ instead of fighting it, celebrate that your body knows how to eliminate what doesn't belong in it and do what assists it. There are lots of threads here on that topic if you feel to do the research.
As far as your question goes, I don't know what you mean by "many". Ounces? There's actually no limit other than what your system will actually handle. I have a friend/acquaintance/teacher who was drinking 25 oz. a day. He worked up to it yet that's where his experiment lead him.
What was funny was, he purchased this at WF's market and one time the cashier asked ~ well, that's dangerous isn't it? His reponse was ~ is it more dangerous than a 44oz Big Gulp? Or 4-6 cups of coffee a day?
Enjoy! :)

I did know someone in Seattle, when I was livinging at the Magic Pony House in the U District with 13 housemates (the average age of whom was perhaps half of mine... hehehe) whose hair actually turned green after he had eaten and drunk nothing else but wheatgrass for 3 months. . I personally recommend stopping a little short of that point.
Chaka Khan, chaka khan...

Funny story! I can just picture it! :p
I have wanted to get 2 orders of green juice before, but didn't because they always say comments like "well your being healthy". It is almost like they think you are being obsessive. I guess it shouldn't matter what they think. At this time of my life I do not like lots of attention. It is amazing that people working at a health food store would think that it was overboard. I mean its is a health food store!

This is true yet, go out in the back and see what those folk do on break. Funny thing about "health" food stores ~ they often don't really much care who they hire as long as they are capable of doing the job it seems. The customers often educate the employees.

No joke. I always see one of the ones who makes my green juices out smoking. At first I was kinda shocked, then I thought "Well just because they work at a health food doesn't mean that it is their passion."
It is kinda sad. I used to be a smoker and I know how bad that is for your body. :(
