I know this sounds weard, but yesterday morning my stomach started having pluses and hasn't stopped! It pulses like a heart and drives me crazy! Does anyone know what it might be? It's around my lower stomach area, down by my ovary! I mean I can feel every beat of it! We can't feel our heart beat unless we tounch it, but this I can feel without touching it with my hand! It's like 3 times stronger then the heart beat since I can feel it without touching it with my hand! Does anyone know what this might be? Would it be any kind of detoxification, from exercising alot or from maybe eating something you haven't had in a long time that isn't raw? I'm just wondering because I've not had any pain at all! Nothing hurts, it just drives me crazy feeling it all the time! Thanks everyone that reads this and trys to help me! Have a great raw day!

Blessings,

Well, we do have a descending aorta (not proper terminology, sorry) that goes down into the abdominal area. Perhaps you're feeling something from there, but I don't know how big it is in the lower abdomen aread. Is it pulsing in the same rythym as your heart? Whether it's something that needs attention, I couldn't presume to tell you however.

Left side or right side? Does it hurt or just pulses?

I know occasionally I get a muscle that twitches for a while... then goes away. Maybe you just have a twitch. I've heard stranger things with detox!

Cheers,

Get checked out as soon as possible, consider going to the ER. I am not a doctor, but it is possible that it could be an aneurysm, a ballooning out of the artery. It might be nothing at all, but it could be deadly. I know of one person who had what you described, got care, and their life was saved.

I don't mean to be an alarmist, like I said, it might be nothing.

Blessings.

It might just be you, coming in touch with ~ you! As a bodywork therapist I can feel that on people from the outside. Most can't/don't feel it otherwise. Congratulations!

Hi,

I don't do warm and fuzzy, or new age. I'm telling you to get yourself to a doctor and have it checked fully.Your life could depend on it. It's all very well to go new agey on this, but when you're dead, you're dead, and all the new age theory in the world won't change that.

If it is an aneurysm you need to know and quickly.
So go to your ER, and then if you get the all clear, then you can go new age for America and England and Australia.

But until then I'd be getting that sorted if I were you.

Carla.

Yes, I have felt that.

Once when I had the flu, I went to see my Dr. (yes, I do believe Dr.s have their right place, and no, I am not anti-Dr. at all, so if you feel it getting alot worse, go to get it checked out) It is an artery that everyone has. when you are stressed out of sick or detoxing, this artery is another way Dr.s can feel your pulse beczuse it becomes more pronounced. Does that make sense? Anyway, what I was going to say when I got off track was this.... if the Dr.s know it's there and use a steathascope on it to hear your pulse, obviously it's there for a reason, and not to worry.

Revell is right. It's supposed to be there, but if it worries you to no end, just get it confirmed by a Dr.

I have felt mine and do often---esp when i am laying down..did you loose weight b/c maybe you just never noticed it if there were other "layers: their..
just a thought. or if you are under tension stress maybe things are pumping faster..???

You could get it checked out to rest your mind...but I can feel mine just like i feel the pulse on my neck and wrist area....

Good luck...
Jmd

PS i do not think it is "new agey" to feel anothers pulse--don't nurses do that everyday??

I've felt that before. I asked my husband what it was and he said that everyone has an artery in the stomach area. I've felt mine pulsing before without having to touch it. For example, laying in bed I would feel it pulsing like a heart beat. It's weird but it is normal!

The others could be right though, it could be an aneurysm and in that case it should be checked out by a doctor... but then again, it could be nothing.

Hard to say... I used to feel it a lot (days at a time) but then it would stop. Good luck and let us know how you are doing.

I have have felt it for years. . .ever since I was a kid. I notice it most when I am laying on my stomach, especially on the hard floor. It's down about level with my navel, maybe a bit lower, mostly on the right side. I've never had it "checked out" because it has more or less always been there. I can even see it pulsing sometimes. I notice it sometimes when I take a bath. Everything will be completely still in the water, except for that. I have also noticed that some people's carotid pulse is similar, you can actually see their neck pulsating.

I don't know exactly what causes it or what artery or vein it is related to (or if that's even the case at all). I would say if you're concerned about it, by all means, ask a Dr. about it.
