View Full Version : I just threw out my microwave!
I have been thinking alot and I just threw out my microwave. My husband surprisingly agreed that it just isnt good for you to nuk food. So I am on my way to raw. I am going to have to slowly introduce raw to my family. Hopefully they will accept it and if not I will still be gradually becomin RAW! :D

The last place we lived in had a microwave so we stored some of our cookbooks in their. The place we live in now does not have a microwave! But it does have a dishwasher that takes up space. We store our jars in there
:)
We want to build our own house soon. It won't have a microwave naturally, but it also won't have a dishwasher. They waste a lot of water, and we just don't like using them. I know some people do, and that's fine. For us, they just take up space. No need for a stove either :)

Good on ya! Lois!
when I was eating SAD, my husband and I had 'dueling microwaves'. Now I've thrown mine out and put my dehydrator in its place.
I store my extra mason jars in the oven, and tend to pile things on the stove top. It is becoming a major undertaking when my husband wants to cook anything. lol
Heabrook: Yeah, I don't care much for dishwashers. Ours was broken for quite while, and I kept up with the dishes, everything was always washed and/or put away. No problem. A couple of weeks ago, my husband sneaked home early from work, replaced our broken dishwasher with a brand new one and waited for me to notice it. Well, a couple of days later he couldn't stand it anymore, and pointed it out!-- all proud and happy that he'd done me such a nice favor. So, I've been using it again cause he was so happy about doing it and all. Now there are usually dirty dishes stacked in the sink waiting to go in the d/w, and clean dishes in it waiting to come out. Kitchen always seems in disarray.
I'd rather have another cupboard to store stuff!!
