i bet that was good!
mango/banana/apple/ginger/lemon/goji/kale+green chard was my smoothie this morning and it was pretty tastey.. the mango/ginger flavor dominated and it was definitely an interesting combo.. :D

Wow! Thats alot of combination....I may try it oneday. For now I'm trying to keep it simple and cost conscious. I have everything you mentioned except the ginger.

Mango: the most perfect smoothie fruit.
Watercress: tangy, loaded with nutrients. Not that expensive.
Ginger: an essential in all my smoothies.
What a great post, onelife2live!
I actually haven't had a mango for weeks. When the papaya is gone, and the pineapple (probably by Sunday) it'll be mango time again. Mmmmm....can't wait.
yeah, i was keeping mine simple until I got my vitamix, and now I have 64 ounces to play with.. lol! So in making the big batch that is enough for my morning and mid morning smoothies, I've been adding more stuff in.. and yes, I am feeling the cost too for sure! but at least it's a healthy addiction... :D
I have tried ginger in the smoothies a few times now and really like it!

TP,
Blessed you are! The Vitamix is out of my league at the moment....but BOY O BOY, you are making me anxious ova here! I can't wait until I'm able to make that investment:D
I'm pretty new in the Raw Food World....watercress was my first step "outside the box".....I've always kept to baby spinach, kale, or parsley as my "green" base. So now I'm starting to venture a little beyond my comfort zone.
yeah, it was definitely a worthwhile purchase. You're right, I am blessed in that I was able to make some extra money from a side job and so this blender was my big splurge. I am still holding off the temptation to splurge some more of that money on a dehydrator and I feel myself weakening because I am spending too much time reading recipes! lol
i've read that lambsquarters (a weed) make for a great smoothie green.. I have been looking all ove for them but haven't located any yet..
