I confess - I was a lurker :cool: until I saw someone else on Camano Island register. I didn't think anyone else in this area was doing raw food except for a raw diet pet food company.

How I found out about raw/live food is a long story and I won't bore you. I would love to have some classes taught in our area without having to travel to Seattle, Bellevue, Lynnwood, or even Redmond. Auto accident injuries make it extremely difficult to deal with long travel and noisy environments.

Any chance of having a class taught in Everett, Marysville, Mount Vernon, Smokey Point or Stanwood?

I'm struggling to learn how to do something beyond salads and juicing and something that my husband can tolerate. He's most willing but he's having acid problems with the fruits and lemons or limes that I use to flavor the veggies.

Thanks to anyone who can get a class far north of Seattle and out of the chaotic driving. Actually there are far more health conscious individuals north of Seattle than you might think.

"Nautigal" :p

Hello! I am over in Kitsap County, Poulsbo to be exact. Welcome to the site!

Janine Henkel (www.rawfoodteacher.com) is certified by Alissa and has classes in the Woodinville area. I plan to take some classes from her myself, do check out her site if you are interested!

Hello and welcome:) I am on the olympic peninsula, Port Angeles/ Sequim area.

You would really benefit from Allisa's book. There are great recipes in it that are so helpful. I have another one by Serene Allison called Rejuvinate you Life.. It is wonderful too. For example, today I made a raw apple pie that is just my favorite and I don't know how I would survive without having it to dish up!! Also recently I have discovered banana ice cream,, jsut frozen bananas in the blender or processor( i put a tbs cashews and top with raw granola.. yum!!)
There are many different raw things you will learn to make and your husband will surely enjoy some of them!!

Best of luck,
Jamie:)
