Does anyone have some suggestions for breakfast type ideas? I am staying away from fruit and grains right now because my system can't handle the sugars. I am also following the food combining pretty closely right now as I am having some digestion and gut issues. I am most hungry in the morning when I first get up and am having a hard time getting enough to eat in the morning. I just returned from an early morning meeting at work and was starving. So i mixed up some pumkinseed butter cookies and have almost finished the whole bowl! Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks,
Melissa

Do you have a dehydrator? You could whip up some sprouted buckwheat granola (omit the dried fruit if you like and load up on nuts/seeds instead) and have a bowl with almond milk for breakfast. If you have Alissa's raw oats, you could also make raw oatmeal or no-fruit muesli. There are also some good quiche recipes floating around...use the banana to search for them. You could always be "naughty" (ha, no such thing on raw!) and make chocolate pudding for brekkie with an avocado, some honey or agave, and carob/cacao. You might discover, too, that you like non-breakfast type foods in the morning. It's fine to eat those as well. :)

1/2 head lettuce
1/2 c olive oil
5 cloves garlic
1/2 c onion powder
1 T caraway seeds
1 T dried sage
1/2 bunch fresh basil

Blend in food processor and form into patties.

Wow, without fruit or grains, hum, I can do the without grains thing just fine, but the no fruit thing is difficult

so,
nuts,
seeds,
greens,
veggies
nut butters
nut milks

Well, you could do the veggie stir fry, which is marinated veggies sliced thin, then either eaten plain or dehydrated, I love those.

you could do a big leafy green salad with fresh lemon juice and olive oil as a dressing, with some great spices

you could have the spaghetti, with no dates in the marinara sauce, or the raviolies with no dates in the marinara sauce,

you could do the enchiladas, that might be a fun breakfast, or some soups.

If I ate breakfast, which I rarely do, I would like to have a Coconut Supreme shake.

Meat and juice of one young coconut
3 dates
6 pecans
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 tblespoon fresh ginger
1 tablespoon coconut oil (for energy)

Blend in blender for about 20 seconds.

Enjoy

Maydolphin,
Where did you find this recipe? Or did you come up with it yourself? It sounds very interesting. I might try it later. Thanks

Do you have to dehydrate the patties?

1 sliced bananna
1 shredded Red Delicious apple over that
raisons and dates over that
shredded coconut over that
raw whipped cream sweetened with raw agave or honey over that
drizzled with more agave/honey then topped with ground nuts
served in a Parafit glass
with a cherry on top
is the best, most delicious breakfast my family and I have ever eaten.

belladonna- i don't think so because it wasn't in the instructions. you could if you wanted probably and it might make the texture better.
