Are there any good raw books for kids to read?? ages 6 on up to a teen? Describing in "kid terms" why it is better to eat raw? What it does to the body vs SAD?

Have you checked out the Boutenkos book by the kids. It's called Eating without Heating.
I also have Raw Kids but wouldn't really recommend it at this point.

Here's a great one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0964708906/qid=1143654392/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/103-6404106-6308635?s=books&v=glance&n=283155
Wow ! I should write one. I'll tape record what I say to my kids all week long and then put in a book !
while on the topic of kids and raw food I will share this story. My 5yr old daughter was having lunch in school last week and happily eating her banana until her friend pulled ou ther chicken nuggets ! So my daughter calls me over to the table and her friend is holding out her nuggets with a horrific look on her face...my daughter says to me " Mom, tell her she is eating dead baby chickens for lunch " well I did not know how to handle this ! I told her friend that chicken nuggets are just that...chicken. The friend put away her uneaten food and my daughter shared her fruit salad with her. I was expecting to get a phone call that night but thankfully did not !
They really are little sponges (children) and we really can change their lives...but we have to believe in what we are doing and lead the way.

i think that is a great idea! every person on here who deals with getting their kids to eat more raw foods should jot down what they do or say on a daily basis to reinforce that and the questions their kids ask or what they say. with a huge compilation of quotes i am sure a book could be written for different age ranges! i am sure illustrators would be interested in that as well.
my daughter is always asking me "mommy , how do we get daddy to eat less sweets and eat more fruits and vegetables?"
the other day she even tried bribing her dad to eat a mango! she was sitting with her bowl of mangos and she told him "daddy, you know, if you eat a piece of mango, your teeth will become shiny. you want your teeth to be shiny dont you?" (she is turning 4 this weekend) LOL i dont know where she gets her reasoning... but anything to get him to try a fruit! :)

Wow... i did poruchase the book mentioned in this post:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/09...glance&n=283155
and i received it last week. it is ok... but i think it is a bit of a shocking factor. it speaks very harshly of good and bad foods and it has a bit of "super-heroish" pictures in it. i have not read it to my daughter yet and don't think i will for a while because it is actually scary. i don't find the language appropriate for young children. not that the words are bad or anything but it is just the "impact" of the words.... my 4 year old daughter would not react very well to this book.. she is a bit dramatic and i think she may be very frightened by this book and it would actually cause great anxiety... i would love to see the same book but in a nicer, more child friendly way.
just my opinion :)
