I am currently going thru another higher level of healing so I don't look like a glwoing princess right now but....

prior, my lines, age spots, liver spots, redness and such were disappearing. I had an amzaing glow and porcelain overlay. The kid you walk into a dark room and you lite it up. :) As bright as the sun.....

1) I stopped wearing fundation, because I do not need it anymore. Now, I prefer its natural glow.

2) I used to have to scrub my heels every week, they were so hard. I thought that I would be doing till the rest of my life. I was astonished to discover that the skin on my heels has softened after going raw.

Gosia.

PS I am still evolving.

Gosia.. I have noticed a similar thing except for me, the hard skin litterally cracked and it formed deep lines in it. It hurts but I am getting rid of it so I guess it is detox after all.. Also, when my face is not obscured by detox the skin really looks better!

Fly forever free..

misslinda~thanks for reminding me about detox and skin...

My skin looked amazing for a couple of weeks when I first went raw, but now, at 5 1/2 weeks, and doing more detoxing, it doesn't look as "youthful and dewy", but none-the-less still better than before raw. Many people are really shocked when I tell them I'm 41 with two kids. Most think I'm in my late twenties....

Incidently, I dont' know if you'll be reading this post, Michael, but I met Michael Dwyer recently, who is a teacher grad of Alissa's classes in my area, and his skin looked AMAZING!!! Great job, buddy! truly an inspiration....

well, I'm not sure, becuase my chin area just under my mouth became very dry and the skin is flaky. but 2 things may account for this ongoing thing:
1. we moved in october to a new apt that is very dry (my beautiful boston fern couldn't take it and died, that's the kind of dry i'm talking about).
2. i stopped using toothpaste and began using bronner's castile soap. i think that when the soapy water drips a little onto this area it may irritate the skin. i have sinced began alternating hydrogen peroxide or baking soda, but again, these are all a little caustic on the skin.
maybe i'll start using Tom's of Maine and see if that helps.
other than that, my skin is in good condition. someone did tell me they thought my color was better (not sure what they meant; they couldn't really explain). was i too pale, was i a little sallow?

the main thing is ....RAW CAN ONLY BE A GOOD THANG, Y'ALL. :D

The redness on my face is becoming softer, more like blush tahn red patches. My skin overall feels like a baby's bottom  Right now it's try and breaking out a little bit (just tiny pink bumps under my bangs area), but I know that's detox and it's slowly going away. My dad even noticed it and he NEVER notices anything, not even a new house on his way to work haha.

I feel that it is more smooth and softer (although I have been blessed with good genetics so it was never THAT bad).

The problem is under my eye area that is lately very dark and puffy....maybe detox....

My skin improves GREATLY on a raw diet. I used to get red itchy rashes (mainly on my legs) and I just didn't know what to do about it. I went to a Chinese doctor, and he prepared some tea for me that would make it go away but a few weeks to a month later it would happen again. Eating raw plus cleansing my body (enemas, etc) has worked profoundly. Also, I moved to Colorado and have felt much better since then. I was living in Phoenix (the problem started when I was living in South Carolina, but worsened in Phoenix). The Chinese doctor said I had too much heat and dampness. I think that moving here has helped, but the main thing is raw + cleansing. I haven't had the rashes in MONTHS! and I don't expect them to re-occur either.

I've always had dark circles under my eyes, but they have lessened greatly. I'm not sure why this is --- I had renal failure when I was a baby so it may have something to do with it (some cultures believe that dark circles are because of weak kidneys). I know that my kidneys are very strong now and there was no damage done whatsoever. My mom said she had dark circles when she was younger and they started disappearing in her twenties so that may be it as well.

when high raw the blemishes are gone, my skin is mother and softer. As son as I eat any sugar (processed) it gets as itchy as within minutes - the more raw I am the more I notice the effects of non raw - I am definintely on a journey to self discovery

My face is softer and smoother....

But the big difference is my forearms. I used to have sores - maybe 100 of them on my forearms. I went to drs. and most of them said they were skin ulcers from diabetes. Well, now they are baby-butt smooth with just a few scars. All I have changed is my diet.

I forgot to mention that the little bitty bumps on my upper arms and face are gone and that the "bags" under my eyes are barely existanat.
