I found this brand called "Just _____" insert whatever fruit or vege. Its these tubs full of just a dried/dehydrated certain type of fruit or vegie or sometimes a mix of fruit and then its called "just fruit munchies" there is nothing else added and its such an easy snack. The "just cherries" are a little tart, but today I bought "just strawberrys and banana's" and its awesome. GREAt SNACK!!!

Hi Macybare!
Glad to see another Ohioian on the board. We'll take all we can get!!!

They do make an easy treat don't they? Remember to drink lots of water to rehydrate!

Have a healthy day!

I loove these! But are they raw- the company says they are freeze dried- I do not know anything about what that entails...

Rawbin,
Yes they are! I contacted the company a few months ago. I didn't save their explanation, but it assured me that they are!

Some are raw and some aren't.

The tomatoes, apples (conventional) and one other fruit (cant recall) are all dried at 135.

The rest of the veggies and fruit are freeze dried, which is raw.
It's the method of freezing below 90 to get the moisture out, leaving live enzymes and such intact.

Just thought I'd let you know what they told me when I called.

Just wanted to add one thing.....

I was also concerned about the rawness when I first found these items a year ago and the explanation was the same as above some items are freeze dried and some are dehydrated. The dehydrated ones weren't under our limit of 115 degrees. However, with the demanding amount of rawbies who are showing up all over the place they have changed there ways. I was assured today that every single item that they produce is NOW dried below our temperatures as to keep them suitable for "raw-foodists". :D I actually just called to check on this again and it was re-confirmed.

Again, I don't think we should be eating massive amounts of dried foods but they are nice for the occasional snack. I found that when I first started buying these I would sit down and inhale handfuls. Not such a great idea. Now I know better to just "lightly snack" on these instead. I don't mean to sound to "preachy" about the dehydrated stuff but I just don't want anyone to become to dehydrated themselves. Okay.......okay! ;)

Later!

I was pretty sure that they are raw because I was eating one that had pineapple bits in it and after eating for awhile my mouth started to burn!!
