Hey everyone,
Not sure if you remember me, its been awhile. I did rawfoods 100% last year for about 6 months in hopes to rid my body of some serious chronic illness. Ended up caving in to family pressure that it wasn't healthy to live this way and also general love of food too. Since then, this year I went 19 days 100% raw and here I am again back at square one, today is day 4. I can't say that my chronic ailments have gone away or even subsided but the reason I keep coming back to rawfoods is 2 fold for me. I believe in the long run it will at least help if not heal whatever is going on with me if I do this for my way of life. The 2nd and most important right now is rawfoods takes away my disordered behaviors with eating and since stopping rawfoods last year all aspects of that have taken over and I have to stop for my health physically, mentally and emotionally.....anyway new computer and I had forgotten about this forum until I went digging for Alissa's book.....sorry to go on, I wanted to say how good it is to be back and here is my question:
I would like to do the master cleanse starting Monday. I was up until all hours last night reading everything I could on this forum about it and links provided here from past posts. I have not been successful at water fasts since by day 3 I am totally weak and can not get out of bed, am short of breath, etc. Veggie juice fasts are similar but it takes until day 7 to get to where I can not function. From what I read the Master Cleanse provides all of the nutrients, etc. to give you energy to keep you going and it appears many of you have done it for quite some time. I am looking for experience in energy level for anyone who has done it withouth the maple syrup and did not substitute anything for it like agave. Will it be as detoxifying with just the fresh lemon and cayenne? I know that my body needs to detoxify in a major way and right now I am able to be off of work so the timing would be good if energy levels were not what they would need to be for my demanding job.
I look forward to any information and experience you can pass along! Feel free to email me too! Thanks again for listening. I look forward to being a part of this wonderful board again.
