A friend got some, and now we don't know what to do with it! How do YOU eat it?

Hi,
I love both daikon and watercress! I like to just take the daikon and either slice it into thin rounds, or cut it into sticks. They taste great as is, or to eat with a dip. If you've never tried daikon, it is a Japanese radish. It tastes different than the standard small red radishes. They have a nice, crunchy texture, and a mild spicy taste. I also like to grate them, and put into salads.
I wish I could afford to buy watercress more often, but it is expensive where I live. But when I do have it, I love to put it in a salad with other types of greens. It has a sort of peppery taste to it.

Thanks Christine! I thought they were both good in salads....Sounds like the daikon would be a really good "dip" veggie :D Thanks.
