I am new to this way of eating. I happened to stumble upon it by mistake on the internet and it seemed like it would fit my lifestyle so I thought I would give it a try. After watching the video with my husband, he decided to try it with me. We are on week two and we are losing weight and feeling great. I am a registered nurse and I feel that it is important for me to be in control of my health so I can be a good role model for others. Because my husband and I see and feel the results, this is an exciting time for us. I am glad I found this information.

Hi AGOOD!! I am from SC too. I too stumbled upon RAW on the internet and have been experimenting with it for a few months now. I have to say I like the way I feel when Ieat this way...I wish I could get my husband to join me but maybe in time. I have gotten my kids to try a few things so there is hope!! Hello Agood, I live in NC but I recently heard of a raw food potluck that meets monthly in the Fort Mill, SC area. You might want to look into that as there are like minded people you could share with and try new raw recipes.

My husband is not all raw with me either, but he does eat most of what I make. I'll just keep doing my own thing and hope that others will be interested when they see the changes in me!

Cindy, I don't live near Greensboro, but do travel there once in while. I really like the Earth Fare there. I know there are raw food prep classes at the Whole Foods in Winston Salem you might want to check out. I live near Hickory.

Last time I was in Winston Salem, there was a dry erase board with dates for the raw classes posted right when you walked in the door. I know they were on Saturday afternoon. Maybe they haven't had them this year yet? Wouldn't hurt to ask the store manager.

Earth Fare is a store in Greensboro that sells all health foods and an abundance of organic produce. The original store is in Asheville, that's the one I go to. But the one in Greensboro is really nice, I've shopped there a few times.
