*~*TA DA!!!!*~*

*(((tap dancing)))*

So I went for a walk today......

My left index finger........

This is the finger that I ((( SMASHED )))) with the car door about 8 years ago......

The attending ER physician didn't do a very good sewing job and the scar was a little rised and I could not stand to touch it. It was senstive as the nevers felt irritated. Also this finger would get cold easily and stiff.

FAST FORWARD........my finger was having this pulsating feeling, buzzing but it was evenly felt in my finger........

being 100% raw for approx 2 1/2 months, the scar is has smoothed out almost non-existent--I can actually touch it without cringing like I use to.......plus the feeling in the finger is 98% healed !!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Not on the topic. My 5 yo daughter Julia loves action girls. She loves jumping around in a kung-fu style screaming "hee-ya!". Your new picture reminded me of this. :)

Hi Miss Linda,

That is so wonderful to hear. I've had a simular experience. About 4 years ago I injured my leg while sparring. I bruised from the knee down to the bottom of my foot. Just below the knee it swelled a lot and I had nerve damage. When I go too high in eating cooked foods, the numb feeling comes back in that area and it swells. When I eat high raw, my leg feels and looks normal.

Isn't it amazing what live food does to our bodies? :D It allows our body to heal itself!!!!! Now how cool is that!!!

Thanks for sharing this, as I'm sure others wonder if an old injury will ever heal.

Way to go MissLinda Lady! I know that my skin tags and a mole I had on my neck dissappeared. Hold on I just told myself to check the dog bite (I got when I was in High School) that required 17 stitches. You have to understand this it is in the very back of my calf. I take a shower and don't really notice it. Well I just checked and the area that was normally puffy with a little rigged line running through it is much smaller and the rigged line is almost gone

Girl if you hadn't posted this I probably would have never noticed it. Thanks!

Raw is alright with me! You know! You know that Raw is alright!

It just grew back. Everytime I went to dentists over the years they always tried to get me to let them fix it. I figured it was just cosmetic & I dont like dentists LOL so I avoided having anything done that wasnt absolutely nessasary. Glad I waited! I was raw pretty much 100% except tea & baked sweet potato occasionally for about 6 months & one day I just noticed it was all healed! I went around showing everybody & posting everywhere! I was so exited! Its something I never though about trying to heal, it just happened!

cool beans misslinda!

what rvm? chipped tooth healed!?!? wow.. i want that! i have a big ol' chip on one of my front teeth that ive had since i was 13. dentists have never been able to do much with it because of how it's chipped and my bite.. so 6 months eh!? no prahblem! almost two down and four to go! ;)

i am inspired by you all. i also am hoping that ligament damage from a hypextended knee injury that occured 4 years ago heals up. it is already better just from the weight loss, but i am betting that it completely heals.. ;)

Who me -- there twice in one day? Ha!), though it needs no other recommendation that the raves it's garnered on this forum for well over a year. Ha!! I still remember Sharon flying in from Colorado to meet Revvell and me there for dinner last year. Now, that's dedication to fine raw dining!!

Chipped tooth? Did you crave calcium rich foods during this process? Just wondering if your body truly craved what it needed to heal your tooth.

Congrats MissLinda! So great to hear all these healing stories. Here's a DREAM FOR ME and one day, mark my words, I WILL REPORT THIS HEALING...HERE GOES:
I've had a skin condition on the bottom of my left foot for 10-15 years.(itches, scales over, oozes nasty stuff, and I've literally scratched till I bled, causing more soars and making it painful to walk, people have at times noticed me limping!)..we've tried everything, every cream, over the counter, wash, powder etc. Thsi started in my late teens, and I will be 35 this year...so more like 20 years. I even went to the Dr. last year where I was given an expensive prescription of Lamisil, after 2 months, the rash was still there. The Dr. was baffled. It was then that I started researching and learned about candida. I believe this problem is candida or psoriases....an intergrative medical dr. told me later (about August last year) that he thought it was candida. Well, he gave me a prescription creme , that helps, but has steroids in it. Hate that! Now raw, I hope in 4-6 months for this rash to be GONE! And when it disappears...YA'LL WILL SEE ME ....YES, SEE ME JUMP FOR JOY!
OH, by the way, the intergrative med. Dr. wanted to put me on a special diet, and it included HIGH protein, which his nurse didn't know what to tell me when I mentioned to her that I was trying to eat RAW!! She kept on telling me about beans and then advised me to get WHEY protein! What a joke.
I can't wait to post "my healing story" here. Maybe this should be an ongoing thread, for others who need to hear true stories of how RAW has changed others life! :D
Happy for all here who've gotten the confirmation that RAW is truly healing their bodies! :D

This is an awesome thread Misslinda. Love the picture too! lol.

Here's a neat story from one of my good friends.

When he was 17 (or somewhere around there) he went to the dentist and found out that he had cavities and they wanted to treat them but he didn't want them treated (the dentist was frustrated w/ him when he told him that)...he wanted to find out how to treat them natrually. So, he went home and did some research and found out the he needed good raw organic sodium ( but I imagine if it wasn't organic it would still help). He decided to try and experiment with it and all he ate for about 2 weeks was raw vegetables, celery and such. And then he went back to the dentist and his cavities were gone!!!!! Amazing huh? He told the dentist what he did and the dentist didn't believe him and was angry with him!!! THe dentist kicked him out of his office and said that he was lying and that he went to another dentist, that it wasn't possible! My friend has had alot of experiences with doctors getting mad with him...lol

Raw is AMAZING! I'm so excited to be on my way to 100% raw!

Person in dental field:

NOt to be arguementitve, but that story seems a little silly. I do belive in natural medicines, and I don't doubt that a raw diet can help solve problems, but the part that doesn't make sence to me is the last line. "THe dentist kicked him out of his office and said that he was lying and that he went to another dentist," The only known way for a dentist to fix cavities is with fillings. A dentist can tell the difference between a tooth that has had a filling and a tooth that has not. If the cavities had actually healed then the dentist probabally would have believed him because there is no known way for that to occur. Because of that, a different dentist could n't have healed the cavities either. The only way that the dentist would have said that another dentist had
taken care of the problem was if he saw fillings there. Does that make sense?

Me:

I do not feel that you were being argumentitive, just comunicating your thoughts and feelings.

What you say does make sense, but I can see of many ways on how that could be right.

The dentist might have been extremely arrogant and just said that because he was unwilling to admit he was wrong.

I am sure there are dentist out their that can do a filling that looks real. He might have really believed that the guy/girl was lying and thought, well he must have gotten it filled, because that seemed to be the most logical explanation to him.

I do know of someone on a raw food board who cracked their tooth and after being a raw vegan for 6 months the tooth grew back.

I have also heard from different raw foodist that if your mercury filling pops out that it will eventually grow back and you will not have
to get it re-filled.

That does not sound to far fetched to be granted that hamsters teeth grow.

You are right, this information could be false, and that person that I know could be lying, but I have heard about this stuff from many different sources, Since the ADA seems to hold things back (such as the toxicity of mercury) I feel more inclined believe this than them. Maybe I am wrong!

That is just me, you do not have to accept or believe what I say. I have seen how raw foods have healed others and little things in me when I am raw. I just wouldn't be surprised if it was true.

I feel that the medical Field holds back allot of information because they want to make money.

How much money would dentist make if they said, you wanna avoid cavities? Eat raw fruits and veggies.

http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1803453994/info

If you have ever watched this movie, if not I know someone who has it, it is about a doctor that found out that a certain medicine was causing harm in patients, and the drug manufacturers or the people who were behind it made it look like he murdered his wife, so that he would be out of the picture.

Read this woman's story:

It is about how the depo provera birth control shot made this woman's life a living hell and how raw vegan foods cured it.

http://www.rawandjuicy.com/shelly.html

Person in dental field:

even still a dentist can tell the difference no matter how perfect the filling is. Although, I do agree though that drug companies hide things from people, but not so much in this case. It is pretty well known that amalgam fillings do cause harm . They aren't trying to hide that any more. The reason why they used to is because they were better for you then rotten teeth. Plastic fillings have been around for a long time, but only until recently have they figured out the chemistry to make them good. They used to pop off and break. Amalgam was all they had. Even if they did find out that raw food cured tooth problems dentist would not worry about their jobs. Look how long they have been telling people that soda pop is a killer for your teeth, but people still drink it. With the power that the S.A.D. has on people I think that people would rather go to the dentist with problems then eat only raw foods. I think that dentists and the ADA know this too.

WOw. Okay, here I go...

NOt to be arguementitve, but that story seems a little silly.
No offense taken here! :D I too, think it is silly for anyone to be acting that way! But, do you mean a "little silly" as in you find it hard to believe a dentist (human being) could act like that?

...but the part that doesn't make sence to me is the last line. "THe dentist kicked him out of his office and said that he was lying and that he went to another dentist,"...

I didn't make sence of this either :p But, people tend to say things that don't make sence out of anger, fear, or some other emotion don't they?

A dentist can tell the difference between a tooth that has had a filling and a tooth that has not.

So can I. ;)

If the cavities had actually healed then the dentist probabally would have believed him...

Would he, really?

The only way that the dentist would have said that another dentist had taken care of the problem was if he saw fillings there. Does that make sense?

Yes! It does make sense. But, that isn't the only way the dentist could have said that. There can be many reasons why the dentist said that. He could have said it out of greed and just wanting the money from him, (a dentist lied to my mom and told my mom that she needed fillings where as another one told her she didn't  ) or like I stated above, he could have just been angry with him and just said that... Though it sounds silly, it can still be true. People will be people. Oh, the possibilities!!

He's had may problems with dentist and other doctors with things like this (I dunno how or why he atracts them?!?lol Then again he doesn't know either!). People get mad, they say silly things. I'm not trying to convert you to believe my story! Lol. Just giving you my honest reply. :)

Kiddies ~ I would have replied to what you said more in detail but that would have been a reeeeeaaaaaally looooooong reply back. ;) But, I wanted to tell you that I agree with everything you said. I didn't get to watch the video though. My computer in really slow and messed up and I couldn't view it. Thanks for posting everything! And thank your friend for his input for us?!

I think what the person meant was that they find the story hard to believe.

The person in the dental field said:

"NOt to be arguementitve, but that story seems a little silly. What I get out of that is they feel that the story is false because dentists can tell whether a tooth has been filled or not.

Your friend claimed that the dentist kicked your friend out and said he was lying about the raw food healing his teeth and that he really did was went to another dentist to get his teeth filled.

The person from the dental field said:

"A dentist can tell the difference between a tooth that has had a filling and a tooth that has not."

What they meant by that is the dentist would have been able to tell whether he had his teeth filled. You said your friend healed his cavities thru raw foods. He would have had a normal, real, healthy tooth, not a filling.

The person in the dental field said:

"If the cavities had actually healed then the dentist probabally would have believed him because there is no known way for that to occur. Because of that, a different dentist couldn't have healed the cavities either. The only way that the dentist would have said that another dentist had
taken care of the problem was if he saw fillings there. Does that make sense?"

What they meant by that is:

The dentist would have been inclined to believe your friend, even though he has never heard of it before, because the only way that a dentist can make the cavities go away is to drill them and fill them, since a dentist did not fill them, but he suppostivly healed it thru raw foods, there would be no fillings period. So, the dentist's mind would have to be open to the fact that maybe raw foods did heal this, since the cavities were there two weeks ago, but gone now, and there are no fillings there.

Does this make sense now? I know I did not break it up before so, you might have had a problem understanding who said what.

I am not discrediting the fact that raw foods could make cavities dissapear. My mind is still open to the fact that it could happen, but not because of your story.

The story does not fit.

Wow...so much information! This is for MISSLINDA! You asked me before if I had any other symptoms. I've taken a couple of "candida tests", where you are asked all kinds of questions....what I SUFFER from the most is the foot problem and that's because of the itching and then sores....but other symptoms would be: forgetfullness, brain fog, irritability, mood swings, weight gain, sugar cravings. just to name a few! I DON'T suffer from digestion problems or female yeast infections or other infections (where I would be on alot of antibiotics) Of course this could STILL be psoriases....so I know eating RAW will help both. I was two months at 100% and my foot didn't improve and I think it was because I was still eating all the sweet fruits (I do have a sweet tooth :o ) I've reread part of Alissa's book recently and found a part where she wrote "if you want this, eat this" (I think p. 87) So I'm going to ask her if I could get some examples of what she ate during this time, I remember from her story that she suffered from this too. Anyway, thanks for asking. I would sure like the "definite" answer as to what it is, but either way, I know the definite answer of how to fix it! :D

Yes, raw definately heals. I was diagnosed, after several fustrating years of seeing different Doctors who all told me I was fine  , with vulvar vestibulitis. In a nutshell intercourse was very painful. Needless to say that can be rather hard on a marriage (though my hubby is/was wonderful about it) and hard on your confidence when you cannot take care of your marriage 'duties' that, in my case, I loved to do!

When I was finally diagnosed the Dr told me that there wasn't a set 'treatment' to fix it. That they would try one anti-depressent, then up that dosage if that didn't work. If still no luck then they would try a couple of other pills, then some other things, then if none of that worked they would cut the offending area OFF! Excuse me?!?! Cut something like that OFF! NOoOOoo I don't think so!!!!!

I've been eating 99% raw, the ocassional caving into a craving are the only times I'm not and those are getting less frequent, for 7 weeks now I belive. At the same time I started the raw I stopped taking the anti-depressent the Dr. had given me because it just made me feel so fuzzy with no help at all. However, at this point my sensativity and pain has gone down considerably to the point where it very rarely bothers me anymore!!! Wow, and to think if I hadn't taken this path I could have ended up with some very private parts of me cut off! Ugh!

So yes.. RAW heals!

MissLinda, I haven't noticed ...but I can tell you that my foot itches the most at night. Like I've been active all day, worn shoes or whatever, and now I can't wait to go to bed to scratch my foot  Crazy huh? It does itch sometimes during the day, but not like at night. Like right now, it's not bothering me at all, and I really won't notice it that much during the day unless there is a sore. Could it be sleep related?

So let me get this right.

This is more ol' wives tales about raw.

IT CANNOT fix a tooth that is decayed. use your head people. How is it going to fix a decayed tooth?

Please get your feet on the ground.

Also. this wouldnt have happened if the guy wasn't ELITE at 100% RAW! IF he was 99%, forget it. No luck. (please use your head, see things for what they are. Raw is great but can it fix decay in a tooth? I call BS)

Our minds are very powerful, if we want something to happen bad enough chances are we can trick ourselves into it. This will probably be deleted due to its saying WAKE UP raw is great but come on!

Hey I had a dentist tell me I had a cavity & they were going to fill it & I ran out the office & went home! (I was in high school at the time & did not want to get it filled!). A few months later went back & they couldn't find the cavity. This was before I was raw.

Wendi

What time of the nite does it start?

BTW, to teeth skeptics.......if I starfish can regenrate, I believe we can too :p no but seriously I wish I had the site I came across over a yr ago about an individual whose teeth grew back from raw food lifestyle. :)

Welll...Misslinda...it's 7:56pm and I was just scratching like there's no tomorrow! :o It does seem to start about this same time (around bedtime, wind down time, etc.) and I'll scratch it off and on well into the night.....???? What are you thinking, if anything, the suspense is killing me! I'm all ears. by the way, it's usually a patch around the arch of my foot, covering about 1/2 of my foot, always on my left foot and it never includes my toe area...just that one patch!

Wendi,
I've got the same thing and have for years. Except I get it on my hand instead of my foot. It also tends to itch more at night and most of the time is fine. I have noticed that hot water aggravates it and so doesn't overly dry skin. If you have sweaty feet, like I do!, it could be that the sweat is the culpriate. I know I do have problems with my feet and my own sweat, but it is different from my hand. My feet crack and peel and generally look like raw hamburger when it gets like that, talk about painful. Ugh! I have to wear shoes that will breathe and cotten socks to keep it under control. Funny huh?

Sergi and Valya Boutenko's teeth actually pushed the fillings out of their teeth, and filled with new tooth and enamel, they have NO cavities, or cavity repairs, this is a proven fact, I've seen their teeth that are healed.

I'm hoping to heal allergies and asthma, and I have to say they are better since I started on raw 3.5 months ago. I'm about 95% raw right now. I still sneeze when affected by allergens, but my wheezing is minimal. Noticable improvement for sure! I was a vegetarian before going raw and as long as I stayed on a CLEAN diet, excluding processed sugar, milk products, and drank a green juice every day, my allergies were managable too.

the article does mention it:

Dr. Virginia V. Vetrano writes, "Under ideal conditions...(teeth) can be
healed. Caries (cavities) can probably be filled physiologically; we just
never give them a chance. As soon as a cary (cavity) is discovered, it is
filled with gold, silver or porcelain. Nature certainly can't fight against
that, although she tries to at times and casts our fillings. I have seen one
case where the enamel was badly eroded off all the front teeth. that was
apparently replaced while fasting."

In "Nature the Healer", John H. Richter wrote on page 385, "In my practice, I
have noted some
splendid instances of broken teeth growing back to their full length without
other aid than natural
food. However, I find that this is not generally believed. It may be
necessary for grownups to live for many years in Nature's way, before they
will be able to accomplish this feat. Their bloodstream must be made vital.
On the other hand, I know of men as old as seventy-five years who have grown
another set of teeth."

In 1923, Dr. Herbert Shelton wrote, that he saw a man in his 60's grow three
new teeth without a
change in the man's mode of life. Dr. Herbert Shelton further wrote, "In
total inanition (starvation), the experimental animal is deprived of all food
and water. It is obvious that the animal will not live as long when deprived
of water as when receiving water. But the reader will note that no changes
occur in the teeth in
animals that are given water only until they starve to death." Dr. Herbert
Shelton, further wrote, "In the pyorrhea that 'four out of five' are said to
have, we see inflammation, loosening of the teeth, necrosis of the jaw, and
even falling out of the teeth. In numerous cases that we have cared for, the
gum inflammation has subsided, the ulcers have healed, pus formation has
ceased and the loosened teeth have become firmly fixed in their sockets, and
all of this has occurred while the patient was fasting."

Rene Beresford writes, "The teeth are bones. Bones do heal and regenerate
under favorable conditions. Even the enamel of the teeth, it seems is able to
repair itself, as I have been able to demonstrate on a broken tooth of my
own. Self-restoration of teeth with cavities in them have been reported by
dentists within the last few years."

Dr. Virginia V. Vetrano further writes, "Disease of the gums and periodontal
tissues heal, while
fasting, and teeth become firmer in their sockets...Abscesses will often
absorb while fasting, but it
will usual take a lengthy fast."

But obviously this is not the site your talking about.
