What is going to challenge you this week on your raw journey? Got a plan?

Me...I have to go to Denver on Wednesday to see the dentist. I think (hope) I have a bad filling, I have two mercury fillings left in my mouth, the rest are gold or resin. I really want these mercury ones out.

So, anyway, I'll fly into Denver, my folks will pick me up, and my mom will start in on..."you're too thin!" Of course, I'm not! I could lose another 10 easy. We'll go out to lunch, I'll order my salad at Outback or wherever, and the whole time she'll be telling me to eat more.

I'll probably pack frozen juices with me and some nuts, but I'll mostly eat light that day.

Tuesday I have to pick up a load of bagels at Panera for a customer. It won't be that hard. Like someone else mentioned in a post, I actually enjoy the smell of cooked food. I can breathe it in deeply and feel good about it, and not pine for the food itself. I can appreciate the smell, as a smell, ya know?

I think that's about it, what's your challenge this week?

Oooh Sue I know that well, the 'too thin and don't eat enough' thing. I always want to take people home and let them see what I eat at HOME! I mean it's not like you can ever order a good big raw meal anywhere so frinds and family always think cooor how do they live on that??

I feel for you xx

I'm lucky this week, my fiance is away so I have NO cooked challenges yippeee! Although.. it always get my tummy rumbling when I smell fresh baked bread inthe shop, I don't want to eat it anymore but it's like my body still gets triggered by it, maybe one day it won't!

So my challenges aren't food I guess. My big challenges this week are EXERCISE and MYSELF. I'm kind of doing a retreat where i'm working on myself in the sense that i'm wanting to awaken my 'sacred woman' - big challenge. I have 'issues' with being my 'raw self' and i'm going to face them, work through them and come out the other side. I was kind of frozen like a rabbit in the headlights yesterday knowing that today is the 1st day of doing good things for myself. BIG challenge. So its not raw food, but its a raw me challenge.

Just a suggestion......plan responses to things she may come at you with. For example......how are you going to carry yourself? Hold your head up high at all that you've accomplished! Walk in with your new confidence and vibrant energy that raw food has created. If she asks you to participate in some old pattern you shared perhaps suggest a walk instead or ask if you can prepare her something to eat. See if there's a health food store or market you can shop at together. If she hasn't seen you in awhile I think she'll be amazed. By the end of the visit she may be asking you "so, how could I do this raw thing?" Good luck.

Yes, I get that a lot. I say, "you'll never know unless you try." I also remind them what I used to be like......the alcohol, the dairy, ice cream in particular, the depression, moodiness, maybe flash a before picture at them. People will be ready for it when they are ready. You can just be the strong reminder that there is a way.

Hi there Jacki!

You're moving too? And Sue you just moved?
Wow, i'm moving on the 1st of Oct from Brussels to the UK, right now my fiance is in the UK looking for a place for us to rent..

I too am practising patience, not one of my strong points but a goooood one for me to practise! It's really hard not being there to look at the places and ask all the questions etc. I have him armed with a digital camera and instructions to ring me when he is looking around the places.
I'm in the 'I should be cleaning and clearing' stage of preeration. We have 2 cats and some fish (possibly) to move as well which is a right intricate business, England are fussy like that.
