I've ordered the famous Alissa book!!! whew!
pretty soon, no more combing these threads for a glimpse of a recipe, lol! :p

soon, I will be an official member of the club!!!
though I have already begun my journey, I never would have had soo much fun starting it had I not stumbled upon this board.

In Chicago last year, there was a Veggie Fest. There was a raw food demonstration and almost ALL of the recipes were Alissa's. We couldn't get printed copies of them b/c of copyright issues and all but the presenters just kept saying--"it's in Alissa Cohen's book", and I couldn't stop thinking-wth is that ?, and just assuming it was someone who was there at the time and would be selling the books. NOW I KNOW, and don't I ever consider myself lucky!!! :D

Yes, welcome to 'the club' as you called it (LOL)!

You must try the Carrot Pecan Burgers with the Curry Sauce -- and the Fudge Balls!!!

It's all yummy but those are my current faves.

thanks all,
actually, though-I have tried a few of the recipes (thanks to the link to greenchefs someone posted for me :)
the potato salad and the bbq chick n fingers I've done...made the carrot pecan burgers yesterday but ZI think I may have put too much fennel and they have a weird kinda taste
honestly, the main reason I took the plunge to purghase--and believe me it was a small sacrifice--was so I could make those danged burger buns!! my 3yo son lives on bread and I have been depriving him for about 3 weeks now, hopefully we can do flatbread and the banana bread Rawkinlocs posted about :D

OoO if your looking for bread do a search on this site for the onion bread. Wow, that stuff is sooo good. I only used 2lbs of onions instead of the 2.5 and it was wonderful. Soooooo good!

thanks Jinx--I have made that one and dh and I LOVE it, the little ones are a different story, though--ya know, all the onions.
it doesn't help that he has a 6 year old sister going-"ewww, onions" they're gonna burn my eyes..
