Hi Alissa and everybody,

I kind of wish you had a donation button so if we feel like, we could donate to keep this website up and running. I am so scared that you might take away the forum and I don't really have anywhere else where I can get so much information and peoples first hand experience. Although I believe all of us who participate, contribute to your business by sharing our experiences, I still kind of feel like once in a while I would like to send some money your way to make sure you stay up and running.

I also am going to donate to ecopolitan a non-profit raw vegan restaraunt that is in the same building as my doctor's clinic. He owns the whole shebang and vounteers so much of his time with lectures and such that I feel kind of guily for getting so much for free. Sometimes, I feel like that on this forum too and want to send some money in, just for my own peace of mind.

Good Idea. I frequent another site simpleliving.net and you can donate to the forum.

Dude let's do it if we're suffering..........this is one board I don't ever want to see disappear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

That’s very sweet of you but im glad to do it. It is rather costly to keep it going, especially since its getting bigger, but don’t worry. i get exposure from this board and it is a way of advertising for me. I so appreciate that gesture and I have been asked this many times before. Actually my moderator has asked me to do this many times. So ill think again about it as its growing, but please don’t feel guilty, its here for you to enjoy and we all benefit from it.
And no, its not going to ‘go away’. Ive never thought about taking this board down and don’t plan to. I think it’s a great thing, like I said, for everyone involved. So no fear!
Actually I am moving this board to a larger server and updating it within the next few weeks since its crashed a few times for a couple of minutes each time. So if you see it down for a few minutes within the next month, don’t worry, its just getting a new home as we grow!
what was the other post about this??
Don’t worry, this board is not going anywhere. It’s too valuable a resource and it gives me great joy to be able to provide it!

Best,
Alissa

Ways to support this board and Alissa:
- Buy your raw foods, appliances, etc from Alissa's website
- Recommend Alissa's book/dvd/etc to your friends
- Put a link to Alissa's site on your own web site.
- Keep Alissa's mission statement in your mind whenever you post.
- Stay RAW and let others know that Alissa has been helpful.

There's probably more ways to support Alissa but those came to mind quickly.

Cheers,
Gil

Gil, that was PERFECTLY stated! Yep, I've ridden Alissa in the past about a donation button, but being the kind heart that she is, she didn't want to do that to the members and make anyone feel obligated to pay. But what Fiddler wrote is a perfect solution to those who want to support!

I belonged to another sight that I paid $$ to be a member on....you had a choice, you could stay on the public board, or join as a member where there were online classes about every month, and moderators and it took that "way of eating" to a whole new level. The fee was small, about $20/month, or you could pay quarterly or yearly for bigger discounts. This could be an idea, and those who joined the "member" board could logon everyday to get a "special" tip, and participate in a 30 day challenge (where the challenge may also include exercise, etc.) Just a thought....I know Alissa wants to keep it free, but she wouldn't have to "take away" the free board, but the member board could help pay for the sight?? I'd do it....just a thought!

Hi!

Thank you Alissa for the reassurance. I just became scared when the email went away.

I will buy as much stuff as I can on your site to help support it.

Thank you,
