I have bought the book, but after watching a link someone posted yesterday (Alissa making a nori roll) I am thinking I want the DVD too. She's very pleasant to watch! My question is this: is it mostly food prep? Does she talk alot about the diet? Does she go through recipes in the book, or more just talk about things like how to open a durian? Does this make sense? I'd love to hear more.

She's talking about the lifestyle as well as making a LOT of food from her book, showing how very simple it is to eat well.

She is having a very educational conversation with 2 people while she is preparing the food so you get the food prep and raw food info all in one. It's really worth getting. I watch it often there are a lot of recipes on it.

Definitely not formal, and I didn't find it necessary imo. It was helpful but not something I want to watch more than once. Then again, some ppl do seem to watch it several times, so maybe it would be more beneficial for you. I personally could never give up the book, but the dvds I resold on Ebay the day after watching them.

Alissa's dvd's are so inspirational! She has the most incredible energy and vibrancy and that really comes across in her dvd's. She does show how to open a durian, a thai coconut and more, shows you how easy and quick it is to whip up 20 or more recipes and answers many, many questions about the raw lifestyle and her story at the same time.

It is wonderful to get a visual on the food prep, to watch Alissa and take in the high energy of her dvd. When you feel in need of some motivation just pop it in and you will be enthusiastic again in the blink of an eye!

Everyone I know has watched her dvd at my place even though most of them aren't into raw. They just couldnt stop watching Alissa. At least 2 of them went raw soon after just from watching it.

You will love it.
