My family are not coconut eaters and there are several recipes that I have that call for coconut or/and coconut water..

Any suggestions?

It really depends on what the recipe is...what you are making. Can you give us a few examples of what items you are wanting to make that call for coconut?

Rawkinlocs is right, if you give us some examples, we can probably give you several substitutes,

but just for the record.

I never use coconut, OH, I LIKE it, I just LOVE almonds, so any milk I want, I use almonds,

any cheese, I usually use cashews or tahini,

it really depends on the texture, cashews make great sour cream and cream cheesy things,

tahini is more runny, but makes great stringy pizza cheese and wonderful soup base, as does almond milk.

macademia nuts makes an excellent whipped cream, and pine nuts makes wonderful puddings,

and then there are all the seeds, sesame (tahini is made from this) and pumpkin, oh I could go on and on-LOL

many people use coconut, seeds nuts and tahini in many things, and substitute one for the other frequently.

so, that info might help you. out.
