I just had this for a post workout snack and had to share: Sliced fresh papaya, with fresh squeezed lime juice and cayanne powder. Unbelievable!

Cayanne and lime is used in a lot here in Cayman to "season" fruits. I've put it on pineapple, guava, passion fruit, star fruit, any sort of sweet tropical fruit.

I'm not a big fan of the real sweet tasting stuff, so the lime and cayanne give it a really great balance.

Also, try mincing up some fresh mint leaves to sprinkle on grapfruits or oranges. YUMMY!

Hi Pinenut,

I have actually tried both of your suggestions, and yes, both ways are good. Something I have been doing with my morning fruit salad lately is grating fresh nutmeg over the top. It is really delicious, and adds a slighly nutty, spicy flavor to the fruit.

Ever since I got my nifty nutmeg grinder for Christmas last year, I've been on the lookout for ways to use nutmeg. Thankfully, it is a flavor that goes well with many different things, both sweet and savory dishes.

Thanks for sharing your fruit tips!
