I can't find Hulled Buckwheat is that the reason maybe my buns didn't turn out right?

Can I still use these in other recipes?

If the buckwheat has the hulls still on (usually light to dark brown in colour) it's for sprouting buckwheat greens. You need to find the ones without hulls (cream or sometimes light green) for using in recipes. I would think the hulls are too hard for using in most recipes. That's been my experience anyhow.

Good luck finding some!
