Hey everyone,

This is Harmony. I have been lurking and lurking and have finallly decided to post. I decided to start my raw journey a little earlier than I had first stated. It's exciting. I am preparing food like crazy. I am not working right now so I am able to devote more time. I have lost a couple of pounds.( I want to lose 40 ) I know some days are going to be better than others. I have devoured all of the raw food sites for recipes, I have Alissa's book and dvd's. That along with the boards and you guys and a few raw friends, I may just be able to do this. I just want to feel better, be healthy, look younger and be able to help others by this process. Gotta go make some crackers...I love them! carrot pulp, olive oil, ground flax, basil, red pepper flakes, etg

Hey Harmony that's great news! Looks like you are doing excellent, making a lot of food is always helpful, because when you have cravings and there's nothing raw that you like a lot, chances are you are going to reach for that bag of potato chips (or anything else you love)... (yes it has happened to me too :o )

See you around and welcome to this board!! :)

Thanks Jay,

Now if I can cut back on some kitchen time and computer time i will be ok. All i do is think about preparing raw, preparing & surfing raw sites. I'll be glad when i get a little more balanced, and this is a way of life . I'm eating banana crackers now..they are great!

Hey Harmony! You're doing great...keep it up. Don't worry, in time this will become second nature to you and you'll find yourself spending less time in the kitchen AND on the raw sites. But anytime something is new and different to you, expect to spend a lot of time being involved in it one way or another and when the "newness" of it all wears off, you'll find you have created a sort of "groove" for yourself where it's just natural and normal for you!

I notice that I don't spend nearly as much time surfing raw sites as I did when I first began researching and then attempting to try this lifestyle. Same with the kitchen...unless I just REALLY need/want something special, I just work with what I have as far as fruits and veggies and my stash of almond butter (and I'm even finding I don't eat as much of that as I did before!)

So, don't allow anyone to make you feel that you're weird or too obsessed simply because you're absorbing as much as you can and still feeling your way in this...you're new to it - it's new to you and this is to be expected as you're still learning and growing. You're doing just fine! ;)

I am detoxing like crazy today. I just recognized the symptoms which is very tired and a little irritable. I guess i need to drink water and go to bed and flow with it. Usually, I wake up in the mornings ready to face the world. Today, I crawled out and feel a little werid in the head. There are things I should be doing today outside of the house, but i think i will let this ride itself out. I know it will get better soon.

p.s. thanks for the support, that's why I'm here

I experience the irritable thing as well, if you can afford i, yes take the rest and relaxation. You are doing very well and having prepared food is a plus - it helps you to avoid pitfalls. Right now I am debating dinner, but I have what is needed to prepare it whatever it is in a matter of minutes and that is a good thing for raw. :)
