I ate A LOT of cooked food today. The weird thing is-I keep looking for something to fill me up-and the more cooked food I eat, the more "ravenous" I become. I am bloated and have gained about 4 lbs since Monday! (Mostly water I guessing...)

But now for my "big news" ;) Starting tonight I am going raw for 90 days. I made 30 days, but towards the end I was struggling, almost like I couldn't wait for the 30 days to be up...

Anyway-90 days will bring me right to June 15th-just 2 weeks before the town pool opens! I think that 90 days will make Raw Food a LIFESTYLE and not a "Challenge", KWIM?

I am also commiting to getting up at 4 am and using the elliptical for 50 min, sit ups, and push ups and take Addie Mae for a 6 mile walk each day, weather permitting. I even bought a new jog stroller for her, so she can ride in comfort.

But most of all-I am making the commitment to LOVE myself and to do the hard work it takes to repair the damage I have done for hating myself and my life for so long. I am going to love my family and myself and our home. I am going to take better care of myself, my family and our home. I have finally figured out that I do MATTER and I'm going to live up to that concept starting now.

That's funny, I just decided the same thing. I had some cooked food today becauee I was on the road ALL DAY (like that's an excuse  ) and finally stopped for cooked food EVEN THOUGH I HAD SOME GRAPES AND A BANANA AND A LARABAR IN THE CAR. Unbelievable. I felt so stupid. I didn't even enjoy it, so it's over. I am really excited to make the commitment and not have it just be a challenge-somehow that's just not enough for me. Good luck! Maybe we can keep tabs on each other!

CONGRATULATIONS!!

I love the way you say, tonight, not tomorrow, or next week, or when all the food is out of the house, or starting on the first of the month.

Whenever I decided to make a commitment to raw, it was NOW, not "sometime in the future"--those just never manifested for me.

Purl,

You do matter to your family, they just don't know how to express it as much as you would enjoy. I know that you do matter to us here at RFT.

This is great thinking here Purl - it's a lifestyle! This puts much more of a commitment to your actions. At one time I was stuck because I kept thinking all I have to do is do this diet for a couple of months and then I can go back to being normal. Will every time I went back I gained back all the weight That that I dieted for - What a stupid cycle! But when I choose to make it a lifestyle, which means I'm totally going to go in an another direction permenatly! It changes everything. :D

firefaery,

This is interesting - today I was working out of town myself and an associate of my suggested that we go to this local diner to get a cup of coffee? Out of old habbit maybe is the reason i said yes, but on the way over there, I was thinking what am I thinking  He goes through the drive through and I just wait in the car. He comes out and says - hey aren't you going to get some thing to drink? Nah I change my mind I have some spring water with me and some fruit so I'll be okay :D sometimes old thinking will get you

Hi! Yes-I'd like a buddy! It's going fine so far, except in the last hour I've begun to develope a headache. :( I can't believe that 5 days of eating 50% cooked can make me this sick!!! I just did 30 days-100%, then 5 days at about 50-75% and today I have a headache!!!!. I also gained SIX POUNDS in those 5 days. I *should* change my signature, but it's too heartbreaking. :p

I don't have a headache...yet. I am very cranky though. It will soon be over. I hope. I know I had this experience when I cut out gluten, sugar and dairy. Amazing! I wonder how many times the body can actually detox! After this, there's nothing left, right? ;)
