I kinda jumped into raw from a completely SAD diet sometime in February (although I kinda started in Jan... with a vaca the last week where I basically ate anything). At first I was ravenous for the clementines... and pineapple... and fruits etc. But I started to encorporate greens in right from the start as well.
Now I'm not sure how I feel. I felt pretty good as a SAD food eater... some aches and pains, tired a lot (low thyroid). But now that I have gone (at least what I would consider) high raw I am experiencing stomach pains, terrible gas (sorry to be soo honest), and burping etc.
Here is what I do... during the morning I try to eat; a green smoothie, followed by fruit... waiting half hour between fruits, or 1 hour after bananas. For lunch I try to eat either a salad followed by cut up veggies or just cut up veggies. I have been increasing my greens a lot lately.
I've been having a more and more difficult time to figure out what I want to eat. It's all getting less and less appetising... and with the pains it doesn't help.
I'd think I'd be doing great... but I just feel achy tummy... and stinky bum. Am I doing something wrong? I'm wondering if my stomach isn't in good health? The weird thing is that I considered myself to have an iron gut on my usual SAD diet, and now I don't. I understand about detox... but I would think that my stomach would agree better with RAW than with SAD.
Something makes me think that perhaps I should do the MC to give my stomach a rest. I'm just not sure that I'd be able to do it... as I'm hungry all the time.
Help! Any thoughts, or helpful hints??
