I am on Day 10 of a 100% raw diet. I have had marked reactions to eating fruit and sprouted grains. If I eat a sweet fruit (banana or canteloupe) I immediately bloat up, my back muscles get tight, my circulation to my feet diminishes, and my mood goes low. If I eat grains (sprouted grains or :confused: soaked and dehydrated buckwheat/millet as a cereal) I immediately get an increased pulse, heart palpitations, a mild sciatica, and fatigue.

Can I do a Raw diet on vegetables and nuts alone? Will these symptoms abate with time on the diet?

Hi Beth,

My experience is that I have similar sensitivities to those foods and more. I eat some fruit in the am...lower glycemic ones like apples and pears and veggies oil and nuts for the rest of the day....oh and avocado. I find my veggies are some fruit ones like zucchini, cukes etc.

It is possible that your body will heal..just stay raw and give it time...
