I am trying to maximize my food combining and would like to know if Collard Greens are a vegetable or a lettuce.
Greens are clasified as herbs. That would include but not be limited to collards, mustards, spinach, and lettuces.

I don't see "herbs" or "collard greens" on Alissa's food combining chart pg81. I see that spinach is called a vegetable on her chart and that lettuce is called a lettuce/celery.
I would like to know if Collard Greens fall into the Lettuce/Celery group on the chart or if they fall into the Vegetable group on the chart.
Thanks!
I think that is a good ?? my first thought would be veggie...but then it is a green..like in the smoothie recipes...and structured like lettuce.
I'd be interested to find out!!
Victoria Boutenko recommends we classify greens by themselves. They can easily be combined with fruit, or with veggies. :)
