sweetgoddess,

My beloved husband was diagnosed with lung cancer this past week after months of intense pain we thought was associated with a back injury. My heart is breaking. I have never been through anything like this before in my life and I wish it upon noone. Today he was told he had 3 months to a year to live. I bloody well refuse to accept that!!

What I need to reach out for now, is any stories, links, info on natural and raw healing of lung cancer. Someone must know of someone or I wouldn't have been nudged to write here. We have the best dietary advice, but I am open to hear about any thing I havent heard of yet! There is so much to know in this world and I know so little. Any help out there please? Any raw healing stories?

I am so sorry about your husband's cancer. My thoughts and prayers will be with you for his healing.

I am not a doctor, but can give you some of my life experience and experience from others who I have interacted with and witnessed great and small healings.

I am a breast cancer survivor. I stayed at the Optimum Health Institute two years ago for a month. Saw and heard of many miracles during my stay. Met a wonderful woman there who had three years prior been given a cancer diagnosis and was told she had less than a year. She had metastatic cancer and had suffered a broken sternum (sp?). When I met her, she was still on the healing path and was slowly winning the battle.

When my older sister was diagnosed with kidney cancer, I met with a holistic practitioner in Tigard, OR and went back east to be with her armed with specialized supplements, a juicer, and a book on cancer cures. Sadly she did not wish to fight. If your husband has the desire to fight, I can attest to it being the first step in the healing.

I will try to find the title of the book. Bernie Seigel wrote a book, Love, Medicine, and Miracles that is good.

I have also learned--and this may sound simplistic--that cancer cannot grow in an oxygenated environment. Wheatgrass, a raw ood diet, reguvalac are some things beneficial.

My apologies if none of this is helpful. I will also look for more information and post again.

My raw vegan doctor said "DON"T YOU BELIEVE IT", in regards to having only so much time to live due to cancer. He apparently has had sucesses with cancer patients or why would he say this?

I HIGHLY recommend you call my raw vegan doctor asap. He is out of town until mid-April, but you can call his assistant Joe to see if you can have a telephone consultation when he gets back. I recently refered a friend of mine with cancer to him.

I have also heard GREAT things about cancers being cured with zeolite. Below are testimonials and links to where you can buy it. I am going to try it as soon as I consult my dentist about taking it with amalgum fillings.

We can only imagine what Carmel is going thru everyone...........

Can we all consult here and help her get direction b/c between her caring for him,researching etc she may more than likely be overwhelmed......

Personally, I'm thinking a juice fast is the way to go. so far it sounds like he is in later stages of condition and eating is the last thing he needs. Save his energy for healing..............what do you all think? Lots of carrots and greens.......Enemas to rid some toxins?

I am terribly sorry to hear of such news. I have not heard or know of anyone curing from cancer but I read some good testimonies. These testimonies go along the lines with the other posts in this thread.

I would go with the fast (just water every half hour/pure unadulterated grape juice every half hour/coconut juice), the 2 days enemas and read of Optimum Healing Institute to be of a good haven for especially cancer related disorders. Its best to be under professional guidance in his case especially.

Give the body a chance and it will heal on its own. Always remember the body is self-healing. To go on a fast is to allow energies to be directed onto where healing is needed most. Fast is to relax the system. Enemas is to ensure no re-absorption of toxins. To be in Optimum Healing Institute so that proper and professional guidance are provided.

Earl's cancer reversal story

Cancer is not a disease caused by some virus from afar - it is actually a naturally accruing event. Meaning, it is the bodies reaction to to a toxic internal environment. Toxicity caused by food, emotions and environment. Remove the toxicity and the mutated cancerous cells can actually reverse back to regular health cells.

Knowing this, it makes complete sense how Earl Chong reversed his prostate cancer with the assistance of spirituality and food, (via Jamaica Gleaner News).

Jamaican Earl Chong will be 66 on his next birthday in 2006. But, according to the records of doctors both here and in Miami, he should have been dead long ago. He should have died and been buried twelve years ago.

The death certificate for this man was all but written in 1994 when he was diagnosed with cancer of the throat and then cancer of the prostate at age 53.

One year before Chong received this appalling diagnosis, another man, 53-year-old Earl Findlay also woke up to the realisation that his life was at risk.

This man was 280 pounds and heading for a heart attack, he felt.

Findlay and Chong both would have almost certainly been dead today, they say, had they not experienced the miracle that changing their diet could bring.

According to Chong, god healed him from cancer and also directed him to radically change his diet after an initial juice fast which left him a new man.

Findlay himself made the decision to become a vegetarian and, since doing so, has become a convert of Earl Chong who is the owner of Earl's Juice Garden restaurants and health food stores in Kingston.

On the day we visited the Juice Garden on Derrymore Road, Earl Findlay had his favourite lunch of steamed lettuce, seaweed and bulgar. For breakfast, he said, he had a 'raw' meal of split peas in Soya milk, mixed with flaxseed and oats.

According to Findlay, dinner would be couscous, bulgar and steamed lettuce, with some tofu in garlic sauce. Added to this diet was the 16 ounces of 'green juice' which he has everyday.

All of this he does, following the counsel of Earl Chong who is the apostle of raw food in Kingston. Findlay is one among followers who number in the dozens.

The beginning

Chong recalls how it all began: After three months at Baptist Hospital in Miami, getting treatment for cancer of the throat, he was told that the cancer had spread to his chest.

"I came home ready to die," Chong recalls. But, he prayed and said he was healed, only to be diagnosed with cancer of the prostate three months later.

This time, he went on a strict juice fast for ten days, after which most of the symptoms went away. The drink was carrot, barley green and callaloo.

The day the doctors declared him free of cancer was the start of a whole new life for him. For others, it has meant a new movement which has also given them a new lease on life.

Earl Findlay, who now weighs 180 pounds, and runs five miles every morning, admits that he has not been able to convert his family to his way of living. But, he has become adept at cooking his meals himself.

According to Chong, he believes in whole foods eaten mostly raw. The body can heal itself with the right inputs, he explains.

Eight hours to digest

One of the secrets of his diet, he says, is that cooked food takes at least eight hours to digest, blocking the digestive system. When every meal consists of cooked food, the system struggles with this burden day after day. Meat, itself, he adds, takes 72 hours to digest.

Raw foods such as fruits and vegetables, however, exit the system in four hours or much less time.

Never eat cooked food without a significant amount of raw food to go with it, Earl Chong advises. He also counsels that certain foods and fruits should not be mixed, as some are acidic and some are alkaline.

He also states that green plants are a better source of protein than meats, making the point that we need much less protein than is generally believed. The proportion of protein in the diet, which is necessary, is four per cent he asserts.

Finally, he states that in nature, herb-eating animals like the elephant are much stronger than meat-eating ones. Man should follow their example, he believes

Ok.. the shock is over and now I'm pissed. Why is it that young, healthy people get this damned disease!!

Listen. I have worked for the past 8 years on the Oncology Ward of our local hospital. I have worked day in and day out with cancer patients of all ages with all types of cancers.

The one sure thing I can tell you is this:

Cancer is a MEAN freaking machine with a STRONG will to survive.

In order to survive it, your husband MUST be MEANER AND STRONGER and his WILL must be MEANER AND STRONGER than the cancer. Don't let him stay in shock too long.. he needs to get busy fighting!!

Those who beat it FIGHT it with a positive, POSITIVE attitude looking toward a future without cancer.

Use whatever means feel right to you. But I've seen success with visualization used along with other means. I'm not sure if he's done visualization, but if he can go inside his body and find the cancer... see it... and shrink it in his head.. it honestly can help.

Have him visualize the cancer cells as a big pile of coal.
He needs to really go into his lungs and SEE the cancer.
Have him see a little man inside with a shirt on with HIS name on it.
The little man has a shovel and works to shovel the coal (cancer) and throw it in a big ole fire.. burning it to ash. As the coal pile shrinks.. so does the cancer.

In fact, if you post his photo, I'll do it along with my prayers each night as well. Anyone who wants to can do this. It really can help.

It's going to be a difficult fight, but people DO survive this.

You have a difficult time ahead as well. Your husband is going to go through a lot of emotions in the next weeks. Hang in there... cut him a lot of slack but don't take too much BS from him. Don't let him give up.
He needs to get angry at the cancer and FIGHT!

The following is a mix of things I have read on Cancer and healing. I would recommend going to the Gerson institute website. They have a hospital in Mexico and apparantly one in Hawaii as well. They have many years of success stories behind them. There are video clips on their site and contact info. http://www.gerson.org/ They use mainly raw food and lots of juices and certain herbal supplements, I believe. Their treatment is built on Dr. Gersons work.

Please call them, or other experienced, successful experts. Email them, talk to them. Get in touch with experts asap.

Another expert is Dr. Hulda Clark, as people have mentioned, but I believe she's dead now. I believe that she found out, that cancer is a PARASITE. And the parasite can be killed, once the conditions for it's survival are gone. She advocates using a "zapper" to help kill these parasites.

Lately I have been reading a free e-book by Dr. Jon Barron. In it, he mentions raw flax seed as a cancer stopping and healing agent. On pdf page 28, under "intestinal cleansing and detoxification" he recommends organic flax seed meal. Here is the quote:
"The best single source of fiber in the world, is ground organic flax seed meal. One and a half tablespoons in the morning and evening, with juice will help keep you regular and also provide you with the best single source of Omega-3 oils in the world. In addition, the sulfut-rich proteins present in the seeds work hand in hand with the Omega-3 oils to LITERARLY REVERSE MUTATED CELLS AND CANCER IN THE BODY."

The e-book, as well as everything else I can remember encountering on cancer, says the following:

1) First you need to give the patient an intestinal cleanse and detox, so that the body can get rid of the toxins. Even the best cleanses of liver etc won't work, if you haven't cleared the pathway by cleansing the intestines. This is done in different ways, but one potent way, is by using herbal extract, like Dr. Jon Barren talks about on his site as well as in his book. His site is a shortcut, if you like.

2) A parasite cleanse. This is of the utmost importance, to Dr. Hulda Clark, because she identifies cancer as a parasite.

3) I remember the third cleanse as a liver, gallbladder, kidney cleanse.

This is by memory, but I think this is the road you are heading down. Your loved one has a parasite, and that parasite can be killed and his body strengthened and he will be healthy again.

I have a friend as well that was diagnosed with brain cancer and told he would die. It's now more than 5 years later and he's still around with no trace of cancer.

He was also told the treatments would make him sterile... well... they have two kids now. Doctors don't know... they are making guesses based on their experience, and you are way beyond being normal! That's a compliment!

The most important thing to do is make sure your beloved keeps his energy and attitude high. From interviews I've seen the thing most survivors have in common is ATTITUDE. Don't even let the doctors say x number of months.. ever. Tell them that talk like that is no longer allowed. Period. This is your life, and the two of you need to keep that sacred trust between you. Keep searching and you'll find what you need.

Someone earlier mentioned www.drday.com. Her story is very compelling. At one point, she wasn't expected to live through the night, and she miraculously found a way to not only live, but now has videos (you can get off her website) and travels the country giving lectures. She was a surgeon and I highly recommend checking it out (her website). I found her through www.dyingtogetwell.com in which you can download the book, "Dying to Get Well" for FREE and there are all kinds of incredible links and information in there as well.

Documented research has shown that people healed faster and more completely when they were prayed for -- EVEN WITHOUT THEIR KNOWLEDGE -- no matter the distance, no matter whether they knew the people at all.

It is truly amazing.

So -- whatever you call "prayers" in your belief system, direct them at Carmel's husband.

I also believe in prayers. Positive thoughts have been proven to help, when sent to plants as well. My biology teacher told us of an experiment made in class. They put a number of identical plant seedlings into a dark room. Then the students were told to pray positively for one specific batch of plants. They quickly discovered, that this batch of plants grew much better and faster than all of the other plants.

I have been thinking about the emotional and spiritual aspect, but I don't want to put extra weight on anyone's shoulders. Instead I was reminded of Patch Adams and his work, and I looked up "Laughter as Medicine" online. To quote:

"In addition to helping your heart, laughter offers other important health benefits. "People become healthier from laughter," observes Judy Goldblum-Carlton, a humor therapist at the University of Maryland Hospital for Children's Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. "It improves circulation. When you laugh heartily, every organ is being massaged including your heart, lungs and digestive system. Headaches can just go away. When you laugh the endorphins released make you feel this elation. It makes those big decisions seem so much less important."

Hey Sweet Goddess,

I've had many relatives die from cancer, and yet I've had an aunt survive breast cancer for many years, and is still going strong. Bottom line is this is a treatable disease. She had a mastectomy, but survived because she changed diet, did loads of cleanses etc.

All the others who died followed the allopathic traditional medical way of doing things.

Also I've had cystic ovaries ( when I was 15), and my 8 yr old cousin died of ovarian cancer. I have a family history of fibroids, and yet I am healthy and alive, even though a few years ago, my organs were slowly shutting down. All this and I had just turned 18.

I went and saw a good iridologist in Jamaica (I'm Jamaican, live in Australia), I went completely vegan, I drank green juices, loads of water, loads of soursop juice etc ( had a tree in the backyard), fruit juice etc and I fasted. I lost weight, I had beautiful skin ( amazing with hidradenitis) and I had boundless stamina mentally, emotionally and physically. and my hair grew like a weed ( no sebhorreic dermatitis).

Also I am currently seeing a herbalist, because I have hidradenitis, and one of the complications of that is skin cancer (squamous cell carcinoma).So I don't want to have that evolving in my body.

Also I'll see if this herbalist I am seeing has anything for cancer, he was talking about it to me, as I have had serious problems with hidradenitis.
I have to see him Saturday, so I'll let you know what he says. One thing though he knows alot about all kinds of cancers, so we'll see...

I am sick now with a blocked intestinal valve, because I went back to how I was eating for most of my life

And most of all, pray! I'm not preaching, but I've had other situations in my life that seemed impossible to overcome, and I prayed and prayed, and kept writing down the outcome I wanted, and eventually I got it.

Anyway keep strong, this isn't a death sentence.

Trust your deepest intinct over the diet and treatments to follow and you will be guided to the ones that are right for your husband. Wheatgrass juice would be my humble suggestion.

Hi Carmel, Sorry to hear about your husband, I have read that most diseases originate in the colon. If the colon is clean the body is clean it will take a little time but worth it. I would start there and do all the green drinks he can drink. Good luck to both of you. Forever Young :cool:

also, find and surround yourselves with accounts of those who have "beaten the odds" -- no doctor can or should tell anyone how long they will live! -- and these accounts will help you stay focused on and visualize a positive outcome!

My dear friend has a non profit foundation called Doorways to Healing. She is a Cancer survivor and as a Psychiatrist started a support group using seminars to include the patients loved ones. I will ask her any good resources, it looks like others have given you a good start.

In my experience, I have met someone in Maine who has helped someone heal from cancer doing juice fasts and colonics too. I also have a dear friend who had lukemia and was told over 5 yrs ago she had 3 months to live.....A willing mind and spirit can do wonders!!!

My sister had a brain aneurysm which burst. Her life is different now, but through the power of prayer, she survived and is continuing to get better everyday.

I know prayer will help you and your husband.

Thank your Higher Power that you discovered this *natural* lifestyle before this disease hit! now you are armed with knowledge and support... and your husband is/will be a success story!! :)
how would a doctor know how long we have to live? i don't believe in that...
There is so much good advice and knowledge on this board, follow your heart and instincts and dont let this drag you down... I am so certain your husband will get through this stronger than ever!! This is probably a life changing moment once again, and i am sure it will be for the better. He will prove to all of us here that he can beat this!

hi sweetie~ do not despair!! There are so many great suggestions here, I will just add what I can...

cancer grows in an acid environment. So ALKALIZING is the most important thing. Everyone here has already made great suggestions about that.

Here in Michigan, there is a guy who does live blood cell analysis who has helped lots of people with cancer. He also says giving large doses of the monoatomic mineral CESIUM clears the cancer, but it has to be administered by someone who knows what they are doing, because it depletes the body of potassium, I think, so it has to be done in balance with potasium. The FDA has banned cesium recently (because it works) but this guy has some left and could guide you. I know it's out of state, but if you're inspired, call him, or I can call him for you. He says once people have had chemo and radiation it's a lot harder to heal from natural methods, because obviously the body has to detox that stuff as well. Ok.. the shock is over and now I'm pissed. Why is it that young, healthy people get this damned disease!!

Have him visualize the cancer cells as a big pile of coal.
He needs to really go into his lungs and SEE the cancer.
Have him see a little man inside with a shirt on with HIS name on it.
The little man has a shovel and works to shovel the coal (cancer) and throw it in a big ole fire.. burning it to ash. As the coal pile shrinks.. so does the cancer.

In fact, if you post his photo, I'll do it along with my prayers each night as well. Anyone who wants to can do this. It really can help.

Get support for yourself.
We're with you.
He can beat this!

All of this support and love and positive energy is overwhelming me. It would take me many hours to personally thank each person who posted good wishes, support or resources. I want to thank every one of you for taking the time to send me all this valuable information, ideas and words of support. I got so frustrated on google coming across so much negative stuff that I couldnt do it anymore. And I knew if I asked here you would answer.

Now I have a ton of great links and info all in one place and dont even have to weed through the discouraging. Thank you so much for this precious gift.

Just to let you know, my husband is having nothing but green juices with carrot or apple for flavor. That would be organic kale, chard, collards, spinach. I add celery to one drink a day and green powder to all. He is drinking lots of this and tons of water. He is taking Alissa's therapeutic enzymes and resting all he can. I have an appointment for him to use an infra red sauna a few times a week and am waiting for a call back from an oxygen bar to look into oxygen therapy. We go over to as friends and use their steam sauna a couple times a week and I am calling about colonics today.

We have and have watched Dr Days tapes and my husband really liked her. I was lent the book The Cure for All Cancers yesterday. His brother has ordered him some essiac tea and a parasite cleans. I always have the window open for fresh air. He would get sunshine if we had any but we dont.

I am going to go through all of your links and aticles and make a folder for my husband of all the wonderful testimonials that we can view together later. Thank you so very much all of you, you really touched me and I appreciate your help more than I could ever say.

I can't stop thinking of you and your husband. My heart is broken BUT I know the power of prayer creates miracles. I've seen my dad survive 3 strokes and heart surgery from prayer and I've seen my friends wife survive from cancer b/c of prayer. I know God will be listening to all of us.
This post really touched me for many reasons. One because you are so dearly loved on this board, and even though I don't know you...your kindness is contagious.
Also...my fiance has been "treating" for pneumonia which is not resolving. The doctors will be doing a ct scan on him on monday to rule out lung cancer. Something looks abnormal but the lung specialist is saying he is too young to have cancer plus he does not smoke. A bronchialnoscopy will be the next step...they said it will be 50/50 that he has to do it. I have been so worried and when I read your post I was truly touch as I have been worried/scared/hopeful/emotional...etc....
I will pray for my fiance to hope that it is nothing but tissue scaring or mucoid plug.... and I will pray for you husband.

I join you and your husband in this difficult time and send you both tons of white healing light. I can only imagine what you are both facing but the strenght of your hearts and minds working together WILL overcome this.

I also wanted to suggest accupuncture, healing touch, massage and traditional chinese medicine. If possible have your husband walk in nature as much as possible. Nature heals, inspires and is much better than being indoors.

Hi,
Have you heard of Essiac tea? Look into it, as its done amazing things for cancer. I would make sure that he gets rid of all nasty products that have toxins in them (stuff like shampoos, deodorant, cleaning products) and seek for natural replacements for them. There are healthy shampoos and baking soda works well in place of deodorant. Try to get him to do detoxing through hot baths with epsom salts and saunas. Green juices should help him immensely! I'm so sorry for this, but tell him to stay strong and he can beat this. Even more, he'll be a success story for others in his position!

am sending healing vibrations your way, mine don't have very far to travel so imagine they are super strength! It's not been very long ago that Chris posted your LoveLiveFood poster at our local health food store, and helped me on my way to my healing journey through taking a live food prep class with you Carmel. I have him to thank for that as well as you Carmel. I tried calling you tonight but the line was busy, so hope you check by here again. You've been getting great information and support here, and glad to hear of all the healing things he is already doing. I wanted to add my two cents in about alternatives, as you know I came to you after going to Sanoviv Medical Institute in Mexico. Most of the options people are recommending for Chris are available at this Health Center, where they do a very comprehensive evaluation of his health, seeing him as a total person and not just as a "cancer patient". I have their "guest" manual which I'd like to have you and Chris take a look at....it covers their nutrition program (raw, organic food and a detox program) fitness program (they emphasize what everyone's saying about lymphatic exercise, ways to improve oxygenation to the cells, mind-body connection, etc), spa and massage ( to improve the flow of the lymphatic system and increase the removal of waste products from the body), psychospiritual program (which I know you have talked about Chris having a strong spiritual base), and additional handouts for visualizations and meditations. Revvell mentionned Qigong, and I just noticed an ad in the newspaper the other day for an informational meeting at the Yoga Center here in Kalispell. So I'll check with them tomorrow and get back to you.

I am praying for you and Chris. MY recommendation, is listening to tapes based on Scripture about how by Jesus' stripes we are healed. There have been lots of people walk through some amazing journeys in my life, and they have made it when they focused on that. One person's tapes that I recommend is Todd Bentley, at freshfireministries.ca. They have seen sooo many people healed, who have been left with no hope.

Tombi's poem made my eyes water, it was so sensitive, loving and tender.

I just wanted to recommend that Chris get as much physical touching and skin brushing and tenderness that you can possibly give him. I believe he needs physical contact and to have his skin touched. Don't forget his feet, fingers and hands and elbows and the back of his neck. There is nothing better than someone toughing you lightly all over your body to bring your body to life and to get you stimulated. Try a feather, skin brush, dragging a dry washcloth over his body, fingernails, a fork, a blush brush, some pieces of grass or anything that you can find that would feel good on his body. We need you to wake up as many of the cells in his body as possible. While you are doing this to him, imagine the feather or whatever you are using moving the energy deep into his muscles and organs so that even his insides get some waking up too.

Morning Carmel,

I wanted to add Dnadelion greens to his juicing if you desire. POWERFUl live/kidney cleanser and tonic, 1 oz is the most a day mixed mixed with other juices.

other suggestions:

always keep neck,hands feet warm.

Massage feet and hands.

this one is from my TCM upbringing--- 5 to 7 pm is the hours for lungs energy work during this time would be great.

sleeping by 10 pm assists the immune system and liver.

I believe that total rest and fasting are what is needed here, under supervision by qualified people experienced with fasting. If this not possible a 100% organic juice fast and total rest would be the next best thing.

I would highly recommend Castor Oil packs. they are very effective in providing circulation to lymphatic syste,drawing toxins etc. I've used it myself and others I know and it is very invigorating.......it's popular with liver detox but you can you is toward any part of the body that is the concern.

At the beginning of this year (1996), the doctor told my husband that he had cancer of the lung. He refused surgery/chemo, etc. Instead, I immediately began to treat my husbanraw vegetable juice, herbal remedies. Over the months, doctors have continued to monitor my husband's tumor with CAT scan and PET scan. The tumor has completely stopped growing and to this day my husband is doing fine.

In 1996 my husband's routine physical checkup at the VA hospital (veteran administration) revealed a tumor in one of his lung. The doctors wanted to perform a biopsy immediately to find out if the growth was malignant and they were already talking about radiation and chemo "therapy". From past experience and knowledge, I knew that this was not the answer. These so called "therapies" provide no hope for real cure. Biopsies are very traumatic to the body and chemo/radiation are well known to destroy the immune system.

Instead, I immediately began to treat my husband (Chuck) with Homeopathy, raw vegetable juice, flaxseed oil, black cumin seed oil, herbal formula in tincture/extract form such as the essiac formula, the Hoxsey formula, and Cat's Claw extract. (more info on natural cancer cure)

Since 1996 doctors have continued to monitor Chuck's tumor with their CAT scan and PET scan. The tests revealed that a small mass still remains in his lung, but the doctors aren't concerned about it because the tumor has completely stopped growing and Chuck experiences none of the usual symptoms associated with lung cancer. To this day he remains healthy and well.

Dear sweetgoddess.....My prayers go out to you both. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001, i had a lumpectomey and 6 months of radiation and chemo...believe me it was horrible although my body did fine...but I had to stay mentally positive and went with what my body wanted or did not want to eat during that time. At the end with no hair on my head and charred skin from the radiation...I had a breakdown....because I had no support, either psychologically or emotionally during it. Now with mental health support I am able to live each day and do the best I can...thats all we can do.

The best thing you can do is offer support and be positive just be there when he needs it.

It was mentall and psyically rough...but it is best to remain positive and live each day like the rest...4 years later I have been diagnosed with atypia of the cervix....a disease that affects women who are in menapuse and also its part of aging...but its still a chance that it could be cancer....I have to go for a biopsy the 30th ...now that they have given it a name...they need to figure out how they are going to treat it....either way....I eat helthy and exercise and laugh and love and do what I can to make things positive...because I know its not anyone thing that helps it is a combination of things.

two things came up

1. he MUST forgive his father (I have no idea what about)

I do forgiveness this way, breath in with Healing in your mind, breath out with forgive in your mind, I go to bed this way every night, it has helped me to heal many things, physically and emotionally in my life.

2. he MUST express his pushed down emotions, fear, anger (mostly) but also LOVE, he must express his love, for you for anyone, he needs to shout this from the roof tops, and he needs to LOVE himself most of all.

About forgiveness. I've had to do battle with that too. How does one forgive? I have learned that I don't like the word forgiveness. Instead I "let go" and "make peace in my heart". I can't say "it is okay" about things that were never okay, but I can look at it, take a step back, deal with the emotions, and then decide to let go, with my new added wisdom.

I'm saying that, in case others have a conflicting feeling regarding forgiveness too.

Physically expressing emotions can be very hard to do. I find this very hard to do. I try to imagine what I can do, to show that I care, when I feel words don't work. Something I learned from a loving man. As for anger, I have expressed this in abundance when young, and I have negative experience with it. I don't want to be like that anyone. I was "the angry one". Today, I think I deal with my temper much better. I have learned, that when I get angry, I need to deal with it. So I ask myself; "Why? Why am I feeling this?" The answer is usually: "You feel that you have your back against the wall and anger is a way of fighting back." After I get over thinking; "That's absurd... or maybe... not" Then the next question is then: "If I was a little child and the same emotions were thrown at me, what kind of situation would I be in?" And then the whole thing is unraveled and I can feel where it comes from. I do the same with fear.

These are normal feelings for all humanbeings.

I keep thinking of a method that helped me in the past. I will type something up, and post it later in the "non raw food" area. I'll come back here and link it, in case anyone is curious.( It is something that uses symbols to find the cause of problems. A totally personal way that no one need ever know about, if you try it.)

I wanted to give an update. I am away for the weekend with my husband at a friends resort. We have some tough choices to make. My husband is considering radiation to try and take the intense pain down a level coupled with raw food and detox, essiac tea, lobelia, enzymes,immune building -- but they dont do it in Montana so we would have to travel to either Denver, Salt Lake City or Seattle. So many things to decide and not enough time to reaearch everything. I am troubled about making a wrong choice.

What I wanted to say is thank you. For the beautiful poem prayer, for the links and resources, the love and compassion, the positive encouragment and energy, the blessings and friendship. I am seeing such deep beauty everywhere I turn. I have read all of your posts and am more grateful then you could imagine. I havent had time to get through all the links yet-- but I will!

My personal experience with cancer in family--Seattle has some of the leadng cancer facilities in the nation if radiation is included inyour approach. Can we ask what doctors say about his condition and general response to chemo?

In terms of the alternative healing modalities you utilize, Denver has some of the best. The air quality and tranquility.

My underdeveloped thinking at the moment is he can't get exhausted---neither any of you. Time is something I'm sure you are thing about as well........

I'm going to meditate about this ........any other thoughts.

ps Castor oil packs have been used for people with lung cancer to ease the pain.

A quick thought... Seattle would be my personal first choice because it has a very supportive and active natural healing community there... Bastyr University, the naturopathic medical training center is there, for instance, and Seattle has both naturopathic and herbal pharmacies... and there are lots of energy healers for support in that arena... and Seattle also has totally amazing supplies of organic produce readily available... but also because it has one of the best conventional cancer research and treatment facilities anywhere, Fred Hutchinson Center.

When Carl Sagan was diagnosed with cancer he had the freedom to choose anywhere in the world to be treated, and he chose Fred Hutch in Seattle, though he lived in Ithaca, NY. That says a lot. And they are credited with extending his life considerably beyond the original prognosis, and improving the quality of his final days substantially. And they are friendly to alternative health support.

And when I lived in Seattle, I became friends with a young woman who had come from England to be treated naturopathically, by the staff at Bastyr, for an inoperable and malignant brain tumor. She was actually the person who first introduced me to the healing powers of wheatgrass and juicing in general. And it did wonders for her.

I would like to suggest, that you get hold of the zapper, or someone that has a zapper, and do that for a day, together with the cancer cleanse, that Hulda Clark says removes the cancer in one day. The next thing she does, is to get to work on the tumors. This is a form of radiation = the zapping, except it doesn't hurt and has no side effects. This might also be cheaper and quicker to do.

There is a video where she talks about this. She cured 100 people before she wrote her book, so I figure if the zapping doesn't work in that 1st day, then you can do the radiation?

Just an update (Carmel, I hope you don't mind me sharing this Hon!)

They have some friends who own a log-cabin resort in Montana and they're staying there for the weekend. Carmel said Chris slept almost the whole night last night, only getting up maybe twice for about 5 minutes and going right back to sleep. He hasn't done this (slept through the night) in months due to the amount of pain he experiences, which is worse at night.

So, he is getting some well-deserved rest, relief and comfort!

My love, thoughts and prayers are with you and your husband. It's obviously a scary time! A quick thought, as you have so much to read through here: Dr. Anderson's book Cleanse and Purify Thyself is a wonderful resource. He STRONGLY recommends coffee enemas (you have to read his book to know the correct procedure) to alleviate PAIN. According to him, it takes only a couple of these to relieve major cancer pain. A colon hydrotherapist might be able to do it for you, but they must also know the correct procedure (my hydrotherapist told me she was trained NEVER to use caffeinated coffee, but Anderson claims that's the only thing that really works.)

A big hug to you in this rough patch of life.

There is not a lot I can do or say to add here except strengthening prayers go out to you and Chris. Just keep in mind that cancers thrive in an acidic environment. So keep that green stuff coming. Altho I did read somewhere that when the body has something like this to fight sometimes a water fast is the best thing.. that and rest..

I am so glad he is doing raw..so we have to know this is a plus for him.

Carmel... to you specifically.... Please also remember to take care of yourself... focus on rest and your own green path also even if you do not feel the need for it.. This stress is also feeding on you.. in a bad way... I learned this the hard way..I was not raw at that time...

Hugs go out to you and Chris... I know he will get through this... so glad he was able to get some much needed rest...

Dr. Clark has been able to help so many people with severe cancer and hiv and other serious dying type of illnesses. Sweetgoddes needs to check her methods out!! So many of the case files, where people came in there and in a matter 24 hours to 2 to 3 weeks people were cured/ healed!! with great success rate!!!!

Linda, and Shiva, this morning my husband said he is feeling pulled and wants to go to Seattle. SO we are seriously considering how we can make that happen. Daily though new and difficult choices to make seem to arise. I am just hoping we can see to follow the guidance.

Path, you freak me out. A few weeks ago you called Alissa's phone to order and I spoke with you. You told me I had to read the book The Cure for all Cancers. I wrote it on a post it note and stuck it on my wall over my desk thinking little of it because I knew nothing of cancer, and noone that had it. Then, a week and a half later we found out my husband had cancer. My brother inlaw came over with that book The Cure for all Cancers. He said he didnt order it, he ordered something else and that came as a bonus. The next day I found that post it note from our conversation. wow.

Last night I started reading it. I am not sure what I think of it truly. We ordered him the stuff for the cleanse and a complete stranger from this forum has offered to mail me her zapper.

An update. My husband has firmly decided he does not want radiation or chemo. So we are going the all natural route and feel finally at peace with our decision. It is my job now to keep nourishing him with the best in the food and supplement world, add the elements of nature and create a healing sanctuary for him.

I could use ideas here! We live in a small trailer. What can I do to make this a healing sanctuary??

I have to run. My husband had another good nights sleep and for the first time did it without a pill. He looks better today, red back in his skintone and he is standing up straight (the pain has had him stooped over for awhile now)
So something is happening!!!

Please keep your positive energy coming our way. I believe with all my being that it is making a tremendous difference and I love all of you for it.
I am so grateful. People are so truly loving at their core.

And did you know 1 out of 2 Americans will be diagnosed with cancer? We have to get this raw word out there further.

I little rock/water fountain, essential oils in a difuser, as much sunshine as possible, japanese garden music, plates of fruits set out in the living area.

Everything will be fine with your husband in the future. I can feel it.

Music in the Key of D natural is good for the lungs, as is the color orange.
He could just meditate or study an actual orange, then visualize it's color spreading all throughout the lungs as he eats it. You also could buy a piece of orange fabric and hang it up over your bed.

I'm not sure where you live, but if you can do a google search in your area for both accutonics (tuning fork) and Healing Touch practitioners, they can work miracles with the body's vibrational tuning to give it the best chance to heal itself. Often, if there is a problem with funds, you can find someone who will do it at no cost.

If you would like to do this therapy yourself and feel you have the strength, I'd be happy to talk you through it or even send you the handbood.

Also, you can find a lot of wonderful information on hands-on healing in the books "Hands of Light" - including good instruction.

I know there are many good Acutonics and Healing Touch therapists in Seattle.

My daughter in law is a healer in Portland - if you get to this area.

I know all of these ideas are overwhelming to you, but do what you can.. and what HE can... follow your intuition always.

We're doing a Spring Ritual on Sunday. With your permission, we'll do some healing work for him.

Laetrile is the supplement/medication form of the vitamin B-17 used in cancer treatments in Mexico, it is illegal here in the US but is abundantly found in apricot kernels.

I have a friend who is not raw and the only protocol she followed after being diagnosed with a tumor growing and spreading from her thyroid was: eliminating alcohol and exposure to cigarette smoke (she is a singer/songwriter/performer), limiting her consumption of animal products, raw juices, energy work to address supressed emotions and the apricot kernels. So funny, I don't hop on the site nearly as often as I'd like and when I do I hardly ever post. I was really compelled to get on today and now I know why! I hope the information is helpful, sounds like you and your husband are making great progress already. Oh, and if radiation is something you consider later on, ashwaganda is supposed to make chemo/radiation up to or exceeding 50% more effective.

Ideas for creating a sanctuary:
declutter! donate or sell at a yard sale anything you haven't used, looked at, worn in the last 6 months (or last season). we often don't realize how much energy is consumed by the things we hold onto, even if it doesn't seem like much.

sage your house to encourage stagnant or negative energy to go somewhere else!

flowers everywhere, even on bookshelves and in the bathroom and especially on bedside tables

soothing music

soft lighting

smiles and hugs

Yes, seeing a picture helps a lot. I had never visited your website, so I was surprised to see a view things I noticed. I live across the water in Port Orchard and my oldest son's name is Gibran.

May God watch over you. I noticed there weren't too many mentions of you taking care of yourself. Plus, make sure that you spend plenty of time just really enjoying each other.

Do you have an air cleaner? I think I would get one and then have your husband go outside during a nice day and wipe down the whole house to remove any irritants in the house. You could just use water, but maybe there is a good essential oil like grapefruit seed extract or lavendar? I don't know too much about them. Just something that came to my mind.

My Dear Carmel....It's so hard to have a doctor give that diagnosis...it turns your world upside down. I can emphathize with you as my husband is in his second bout with cancer (stage 4 lymphoma) and neither cancer was related. He was a non-smoker, non-drinker, clean healthy lifestyle, not an ounce of extra fat, and great diet. I've posted before about his unconventional approach to his personal healing. The cancer is medically incurable, and he chose not to have chemo. He currently feels as well as when the cancer was found, 15 months ago, after already having metasticized to the bone marrow. He eats high raw, juices, and takes some cancer fighting supplements. Prayer is an important part of his wellness.

Having lived in a 24 foot travel trailer for over 4 years I have a few ideas for creating a healing sanctuary in a small space.

I made lavendar wands and small bouquets from plants in our garden and placed them on little shelves or on the walls. We also had a small battery operated fountain for our water sound and a miniature zen garden that was actually a kit I got at a gift shop I believe some place in Pike's Place Market.

Also lots of candles and a big bowl of fresh brightly colored fruit and my hubby just reminded me we also had a sound machine that had birds and cricket noises along with rain and ocean sounds.

I also kept a small bud vase and kept either rose buds or wild flowers from our property in it. If I think of anything else I will add to this post.

I just wanted to post an update about Chris. He is on his 9th day of green juice, therapeutic enzymes, lots of water, essiac tea and lobelia, lots of love and good wishes. No sleeping pills for 6 days now. Last night he said he felt better than he has in 2 months. His pain is lessened a great deal and his spirits are high.

Alissa is so right about how blown away I am. Your loving energy and friendship was here for me during the darkest moment of my life and I will never forget it. It made going on possible. Seeing the beauty and love in people made both Chris and I move to a whole new perspective on life. We return your love to you tenfold.

Carmel, when I called the Hippocrates Institute in Ft Lauderdale, Florida for my cousin after speaking to you and Alissa, they told me that it was important for him to begin to do all green foods, and mostly green juices....and NO FRUIT, since sugar of any kind feeds the cancer. So it sounds like he's already on a healing path...how could he not be with you by his side! I'm so glad to hear that he is able to sleep again.

I just wanted to say that I can relate to what you are going through. My son who is now 4.5 was diagnosed with cancer almost 2 yrs ago. We chose chemo and radiation along with supplements and diet. With him being so little we really didn't have much choice. He is almost 1 yr cancer free! I would research www.newstarget.com. He has alot of cancer info on his site. He has a few free ebooks. Chlorella and Spirulina book is free and has some cancer info. Cooper is on Mannatech supplements through Mannarelief. I have heard alot of good stuff about Ambrotose and cancer. We also use Cell Food daily. Okay I know you are being bombarded with info, but one more thing! I went to a seminar to see Patrick Quillen who wrote Beating Cancer with Nutrition and he works at a hospital called Cancer Treatment Center of America. They have regular doctors and naturopaths, spiritual healing, nutrition, basically they hit the cancer from all angles. www.cancercenter.com. Sorry you have to go through this! Something very interesting - my husband had Bells Palsy last year that only healed about 90%. Well, today there is a difference in it. Thats quite amazing!!! Bless the internet. I am not sure, without insurance, what people did before the information age!! It has been a huge gift to us during this.

Carmel, I'm sorry but I just today saw this message. This string has gotten so convoluted with all the wonderful people sending you love, that it's difficult to follow ::chuckle:: although sweet and inspirational. So many people.. so much love.. so many good wishes sent your way.

By now, he's probably gone through a gamut of emotions and hopefully is set on a strategy.

If not, you will need to use "tough love" to snap him out of his shock and get him moving in the right direction. You don't have time to wait for him to come out of it naturally. Just plain talk.. "You don't have the luxury of taking time to get over this.. we need to MOVE.. so snap out of it!" He may think you're mean at first, but will thank you later.

When you have a minute, please start a new string of update so we can see what you're doing and how things are going, or maybe ask a friend to do it for you?

We are all one big family here, differences aside, in praying for you both, in sending you healing energy and the STRENGTH to deal with whatever turn this takes. In the end, I believe you will find your husband is the "rock" in all of this...

However, I will try to illustrate them by paraphrasing a story I read once.

There are two men, similar in age.
One is a high powered successful attorney.
One is a drunk in the gutter.

Each day the attorney must step OVER the drunk to get to his office door.
Each day he complains and bitches about the drunk.
"What the heck is he doing there? Why does he have to lie in front of MY office?" and on and on and on...

Then one night he has a dream.
In this dream, he is sitting under an apple tree, having a lemonade and talking to a beloved friend. The friend is his BEST friend. They are talking about previous lifetimes and futures ones and what lessons they still need to learn. His best friend says "I know! How about this!? You be a high powered successful attorney and I'll be a drunk the gutter! I can learn HUMILITY and YOU can learn COMPASSION!"

The attorney awakens, shaken from this dream.
He showers, dresses, drives to work, and THIS time, picks UP the drunk.
Takes him home, cleans him up, feeds him, gets him help and gets his life on a positive track.

They become best friends and feel they have known each other forever.

This story has impacted my life more than any other.
To think that perhaps.. just perhaps, we choose the course of our lives to learn and to teach others. That what happens in this lifetime is just a drop in the bucket of eternity. That maybe there IS meaning in the experiences we feel as painful and difficult....

just my thoughts.

Rowan, what a great post. Many thanks! I loved that story, and it sums up my husbands and my beliefs perfectly.

He had a very powerful dream once, where he was standing in line to choose a body to come into this lifetime with. The woman in front of him chose a disabled body in a wheelchair and was so excited. He asked her why she would choose that and she said she will be able to learn so many amazing things with a disabled body. That reminded me of your story a bit.

My husband did not stay in shock at all and in fact is so positive and threw himself right into his regime, and told me he doesnt need any doubt.

here is what he is doing:

-green juice made of organic swiss chard, kale, collard greens, carrot, apple, celery, sometimes spinach (once in awhile I slice him up a tomato and some cucumber, or a small organic apple to eat)

-essiac (4 herb) tea 4x a day

-lobelia tincture

-Body Balance liquid supplement

-Alissa's therapeutic enzymes 3x a day

-green food powder

-enemas

-lots of rest

-fresh air and deep breathing

-walking

-steam sauna

Tomorrow he starts a liver cleanse, and then a kidney cleanse and I am just waiting to get some money to get him in for colonics and infrared sauna. Most important of all, he has absolute faith in what he is doing.

He hasn't had to tale a sleeping pill in a week and yesterday went through the whole day without any pain meds.

Anyways, thank you ever so much for the good wishes from all of you. It makes a difference

I want you to know that I have 100 percent faith in your husbands recovery.He couldnt have had a better wife loving caring and strong. I want you to know that their is tons of information out their and being on a 100 percent raw foo diet really is th ebest thing anyone can do. I ahvent been sick with cancer however a good friend of mine is and she notices that when she eats her raw food she feels alot better than if she eats cooked foods I know for a fact that garlic is gr4eat for fighting infections of any kind. I think you're already doing one of the most powerful things you can do for healing - believing that it's going to happen and not settling for anything less! God can heal you no matter what any scientific tests or doctor's analyses say. I've witnessed with my own eyes countless stories of miraculous healings in God's presence. And I've heard countless stories of people even being raised from the dead! Yes, these things definitely happen. They are definitely a reality! So don't give up hope. Whatever you do, don't give up the belief that it's going to happen.

Something that I've heard a lot of awesome things about in regards to cancer treatment is ozone therapy. I would highly recommend looking into that, if you haven't already.

Sometimes it's difficult to accept help, and that can be a lesson in itself for YOU. Please allow us to do this for you?

Even if we can only get together enough for one treatment it would get him started? All we need is for you to have Paypal account set up and maybe a snail mail address and if people can send even just one or two dollars... they'll add up...

To set up a Palpal account just go to https://www.paypal.com/. It's quick and easy. If you have a credit card coming to your mailing address they will use that to identify you. And you can hook it up to your bank account to withdraw money.

If you have online access to your credit card statement you can have it all done in about 5 minutes. Then it's super easy for anyone to help you out, they just send $ to your email address through Paypal and it is there waiting for you. There's a small transfer fee, but it's so easy for everyone it's well worth it. I highly recommend it.

You don't know what that means to me!

Yesterday he had a really good day. Went for a long walk with me and sunbathed for half an hour. It was so nice! He is still on his regime and believing fully in it.

Good evening everyone. I wanted to take a moment to share with you some of my thoughts and feelings that I have experienced since being diagnosed with lung cancer.
Even though I havent been 100 percent raw ( though I am now), I have always valued the information that Alissa and this forum has provided to the public for helping raise its awareness regarding raw food and natural health.

Since being diagnosed on March 3rd, I have had the opportunity to watch the incredible love and understanding that has always been present on this board multiply a hundredfold. Carmel has been sharing your posts and activities on a daily basis with me. There have been times when I have literally wanted to weep at the love and joy I feel you are all sharing with me.

The gratitude in my heart provides a source of strength and nourishment that is helping me through this experience in untold measures. Thank you does not seem near enough to express the appreciation I feel towards all of you for this incredible support.

It is so wonderful for me to realize and get to participate in treatments not recognized by the AMA, and it is because of people like you who are on the cutting edge of nutrition and its benefits and effects on us that people in my situation are able to find possible healing and guidance apart from our local Dr's and hospitals.

Were there not forums such as this to help uplift the consciousness of the public we would all still be running to the Dr and believing everything they told us, and not having any options that there might be a better way.

I want to say thank you very, very much for your love , kindness and knowledge. It is being appreciated very much here in Montana.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank Alissa for providing an area that allows for all of us to participate in sharing knowledge, upliftment and gratitude.

I'm so sorry to hear this. With all the web pages to read I have to add this book. The China Study by T Colin Cambell. He is a research scientist who discovered protein is a cause of cancer. One reason why people can heal of cancer on raw juices and fasting.

I was reading Self magazine yesterday and saw this blurb about a woman who found a cure for her sister's brain cancer by searching online. I haven't checked it out, so I don't know if a lot of alternative treatments are listed, but I wanted to pass it on anyway since I immediately thought about you both. I thought any positive story would make you smile. :)

Here is the story from an article in Self April, 2006:

--"One day in April 2002, Amy Pomykal's husband came home to discover her lying on the kitchen floor in the throes of a seizure. That night an MRI revealed the horrifying cause: a malignant brain tumor. "I thought, this is it. I'm going to die," Pomykal, 33, recalls. The doctors didn't offer the Dallas flight attendant much hope. Pomykal had surgery, followed by chemotherapy and radiation. But after three months, she was too weak to continue.

From the day of Pomykal's diagnosis, her sister Keri McClure had been surfing the Web trying to learn everything she could about the disease. When it became clear that traditional procedures wouldn't work, McClure focused on clinical trials. "We knew she would survive only with an experimental treatment," McClure says. She found one on a site dedicated to people with brain cancer: Scientists at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, were developing a vaccine using patients' own white blood cells. Again, keep doing what you are doing to keep better. They say a positive attitude and prayer are big contributors to people getting better from all sorts of diseases, ailments, etc.

Hi Carmel and Chris,

I was just at Victoria Boutenko's workshop this weekend, titled "Greens can save your life." I know that Chris is already doing the green smoothies, but just to elaborate on the importance of it, Victoria talked about a study that is not published in North American but rather somewhere in Europe (I can't remember) that proved that an alkaline diet cures cancer as it cannot survive in an alkaline body. You could probably get that information from her or her book about Greens.

I know you guys live in Montana (not too far from Edmonton/Calgary) which is where Victoria will be speaking on the 29th and 30th http://www.rawfamily.com/calendar.htm. I really liked the way that she made her case by quoting research and not just her experience or opinion. I have also met two people who cured their cancer by sending loving/healing energy to the area (prostate and ovarvian). I don't believe that a person needs to get mad at their cancer and treat it like the fight of their life as someone suggested. That is just resistance.

Thank you for sharing that story, the hug, your thoughts and prayers. We are noticing a pattern now in sleep, pain etc which I think will be helpful. Chris continues on day 24 of fasting and his health regime. We are getting sunshine and signs of spring which is upliftin and making it a pleasure to go outside a lot.

In 3 weeks we will have an x-ray done to see if the tumor has shrunk. We will keep you posted!

Hi Carmel. I am so sorry to hear about your husband.

I don't think anyone has mentioned Dr. Richard Schulze. 1-800-herbdoc is his phone. You can order his free catalog and free Get Well tape. He is an herbalist and had a clinic for 20 years where many people cured themselves of serious illnesses including cancer, AIDS, alzeimers, etc. using cleansing herbs and raw foods and juices, hydrotherapy, etc. He has a book called "There are no incurable diseases" you can order that explains his programs in detail so you can do them at home. He also sells a product called "superfood" that I make myself - I think it would also boost your husband's nutrition, therefore his immune system. My husband and I have done his cleansing & nutritional programs for the past 2 years.

There is also a video tape set called "Save Your Life" tapes that you can find on e-bay - these are interviews with Dr. Schulze by Sam Biser and I learned alot by watching them. I borrowed them from a chiropractor here.

As you probably know I am into cycling. I also very much look up to Lance Armstrong for his strong determination through his fight for keeping his life. What an inspiration!!!!!!!!
I know it is a different type of cancer, but either way, cancer, and it fought but the cancer lost in the battle with Lance. Lance WON his life back and more!! I have not been on the site for a while and so I had no idea of this issue.

I just found out that brazil nuts have the highest concentration of any foods of selinium. According to the RDA allowance, you just need 1 brazil nut per day to get the RDA of selinium. Selinium is an antioxidant. Make sure he gets those.

Also make sure he gets RDA of vitamin D. A deficiency is know to lead to cancer, among other things.

I wanted to give an update. Chris is still fasting on green juice, taking enzymes, lobelia, essiac tea, probiotics and this past week, thanks to the angels in our lives, he started colonics. He felt great after his first one!

So the last 2 nights, for the first time since January he was able to lie flat on his back and sleep the whole night. His back doesnt hurt anymore!!! This is big. It all began from the backpain (the tumor was pressing there) So something is happening. Yeah!

Now I am trying to find a wheatgrass juicer. You can't find anything where I live. I cant even buy ink in my town!!
We are also moving on May the 3rd out of Montana so that is exciting. A whole fresh new life and energy.

Linda, I don't have a date for the x-ray. I have a date for a DR appointment to make him send us for one. I want to see it yet I am so leery of going to the DR. Last time we went it was so pessimistic and discouraging. He talked about hospice care etc, ugh. But, I do want a visual and dont know how else to get it. I will let you know!

I work with Hospice Patients all the time. Suggesting Hospice should not be something to dread. I know that doctors don't always put things in the right light especially hospice. If you use hospice their main goal is support of the family. They will help in providing everything you need for your hubby that directly relate to his cancer.
Remember their main goal is to get people off of hospice and back to a good life when possible. Also, they do not judge your lifestyle and they're are some hospices that work with alternative medicine doctors.

Please don't be scared to check out this fabolous system. It is a free service to you and a great system to support and encourage you when needed.

What exactly does a hospice do then? I think I have the wrong impression!

Carmel,

What hospice does is basically treat symptoms. So for example if you'll decide to aggressively treat your hubby with chemo, radiation whatever, then hospice would not help.

But, if you decided to let nature take it's course, use natural approaches like diet and see what happens not to be blunt. Then hospice would bring in whatever help you needed to manage pain.

Example: if Chris is at home and cannot get around by himself. then they would provide you with a nurses aide or volunteer to come and help with him. Even if you just don't want to leave him alone while you go to the store they can help you with someone to come and sit with him.

If there is pain medication, or any medication directly related to his illness then hospice will pay for that.

We try to keep the family together in an hour of need, allowing the patient to live his life to the fullest, providing no agressive treatment of the illness.

Call the hospice and talk with them. If nothing else they can help answer al lt of questions

Exciting news! We are moving to Kittery, Maine on May 3rd so I can work more in depth for Alissa. She and her husband are such angels to me and my family and I love working for them. Finding her book in the library a year and a half ago was one of the best things that has ever happened to me (aside from my husband and daughter!) Living on Live Food has changed my life in every way.

We are very excited to do this and will be right near the ocean which will be so healing. In 2 weeks we will no longer be at this mailing address. If you wish to write, you can use the company address listed on Alissa's website for now. I cannot wait to get my family out of here I tell you!

There is a great health food store right near our new home with a smoothie and juice bar as well as organic, vegan take out so I am sure they can do raw. This is fabulous! And only 50 minutes from Boston so I am sure Chris can get whatever treatment he desires.

I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and words, prayers and donations. You have all really pulled me through an awful time in my life and made a GIGANTIC difference for Chris and I while we learned to deal with this. You have made it easier. There is no way to tell you exactly how much difference you have made in our lives, what you have made possible with your prayers and donations. What stress your help has spared us. I can tell you, yesterday morning I was so overhwhelmed with gratitude to Alissa and to all of you that I cried from fullness.

People are so beautiful. I was so shocked to find out my husband of only 3 years has cancer. It made many thoughts and emotions surface. On my own, it would have been too easy to slip into the despair and even, for the first time ever - dislike life. But I was not on my own. I had family, and Alissa and her husband and all of you. It is impossible to be nagative when so many lovely people are shining their lights into your life.

Thank you with all my heart and soul. I love all of you and am grateful that because of you I have found beauty and light instead of darkness.

I'm so happy for you and your two favorite people in the world! How exciting it is to start somewhere fresh and new. I have some friends from Maine, and they constantly rant and rave about how beautiful it is up there, with mountains and oceans and deer . . . and BLUEBERRIES! My friend said they have HUGE blueberry bushes in their yard that grows giant, sweet berries. And she said there are raspberries and blackberries, too. YUM! And can you imagine how beautiful it will be this time of year?!

Sounds like you're planting yourselves in an environment that will be very conducive to health, healing and minimizing stress. And what a blessing it is that you love your job, too!

As you obviously know, we all love you, too!

Oh my gosh - blueberries. I cant tell you how much that excites me. I always went blueberry picking in Ontario but when I cam out west and here are these pathetic little berries in the store with no flavor at all - how dissapointed I was. I can't wait for those real, bursting wild blueberries again! Yum!! :)

I'm soo happy for you. I keep mentioning to my hubby that I will be happy to move when the time comes. We'll probably still stay in Ontario... but somewhere with some hills & spaces to explore & have fun. I agree with you as well about berries in Ontario. I grew up near Turkey Point (do you know where that is lol?) on a long dirt road with only three houses... where if you walked down the road you had acres of blackcaps & raspberries right at your fingertips... and all as mother nature provided! To bad I didn't like them back then :p

I found this and was excited because this has to do with lung cancer and Bell's Palsey (doesn't Chris have this?) Methylcobalamin is a superior form a B-12. I recomend reading the article link at the bottom of this post.

Among the conditions which have responded favorably to Methylcobalamin are, ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease,) Alzheimer's disease, Bell's Palsy, Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Brain Aging, Insomnia, Immune dysfunction, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, Schizophrenia, Diabetes, Impotence and Herpes Zoster (Shingles.)

In mice, several different kinds of cancerous tumors were suppressed by administration of Methylcobalamin for seven days. These included liver, lung and other tumors

SweetGoddess, I wasn't here when this was originally posted, but I'm so glad that your husband is doing so well! I have never known anyone with cancer but I'm sure each small improvement is an amazing milestone. He sounds like he's doing so well, only one pain pill a day is amazing! I hope this move begins an amazing new chapter in your life filled with joy. I will continue to pray for you and your husband and I hope you continue to have a long and happy life together! Wonderful news Carmel about the tumor looking smaller and your move to Maine. I've always thought Maine would be a beautiful state to live in. And, yes, it seems the water and air would be healing and calming.

I heard something on the Cooper Wellness radio show this weekend. Although I'm not sure of the exact quote, the guest was talking about prostate cancer and the Journal of Urology published a study where those who changed to an active lifestyle (exercising) and eating a vegan diet...here's the part I'm not sure of the quote...either cured their cancer or stopped the growth. I know that Chris doesn't have this, but I was encouraged for Chris just hearing this.

Also, the guest mentioned they think cancer is affected a lot by diet and said they now know that 50% of all cancers...I think he said would cease to exist...if people changed to an active lifestyle and changed their diets. Here he didn't give specifics on the diet, but again I thought it was probably a vegan diet. He said that is hard on a lot of people and some can't do it. I thought....why wouldn't they ? And being raw would/should be the natural next step.....if they could SO improve their health?

Anyway, just wanted to share this.
