I grew up loving these as a kid. Once I started eating more raw, I figured out I could make this recipe raw. It is easy, so I make it all the time. It originally called for peanut butter and granola. I use almond butter because I like it better. And I use grawnola instead of granola. You can use any type of oats that have been soaked and dehydrated, or regular granola if you eat it. I also added the cinnamon and coconut, two of my favorite things. This recipe is simple, so you can add other ingredients that you like, such as other dried fruit instead of raisins. I hope you enjoy these, and they are great snacks for your kids too.
1 cup nut butter
1/3 cup honey (or other raw sweetener)
1 cup raisins
2 cups grawnola
1/3 cup coconut (optional)
1/4 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Stir together nut butter and honey in large bowl until smooth. Stir in raisins, grawnola, and coconut. Once blended, add cinnamon until evenly mixed in. Refrigerate dough for 1 hour first, if too sticky to work with. Form 1 heaping Tbl. of mixture into log 2" by 3/4". Place on cookie sheet or plate. Refrigerate logs for 1 hour until firm. Makes 30 logs.
