Hello everyone. Just a quick note. First I want to thank everyone for continuing to make this board a great place to come for motivation, support and fun.
There are many new people here and sometimes it takes a while to get the hang of things here but I read so many post that are so helpful to others who are new to this path.
So thank you all for sharing your wisdom.
Just a few points:
1) Please keep in mind that this board is a continuation of what I teach. I originally created this board to go along with the teachings in my book, living on live food. I have let that slide a bit, obviously, because as you all will see there are many ways in which people approach raw food. There are threads on here about other teachers, other techniques and variations on the raw food diet other then what is taught in my book. I decided a while ago that that is fine. I am just happy that people have a place of support to go to and be accepted within the raw food lifestyle. I realize that there are many ways in which people choose to eat raw and everyone is different so I do not have a problem with that. But PLEASE just keep in mind that this is a raw food support board and there are things that wont be tolerated here such as talking about how to transition back to cooked, why eating raw nuts and raw fats are bad for you, and talking about how this diet didnÂ’t work for you.
I personally love to see a post about someone struggling and asking for help because that helps so many. And the posts about the emotional aspects of eating raw and the struggles and obstacles that come up around that, etcÂ… but if you are not convinced of a raw food diet and are feeling that this may not be right for you, then please figure that out before you post on this board with people who are looking for support and encouragement on HOW TO DO THIS and the questions that come up around it. Of course my favorites are the post about how well this is working for you and the amazing benefits you see with raw because that is what encourages others to take the leap and regain their health and their lives.
2) There is no longer an option for people to private message each other. To be blunt- I do not want to be paying almost a thousand dollars a month for people to have their own personal email accounts through me. This is a forum board that I pay for out of my own pocket. I have no problem with this, but I do not feel that itÂ’s appropriate for people to be using the board to chat with each other through private emails instead of posting on the public board. ThatÂ’s not why I set this up. Im sorry for those of you who are not abusing this option but its come to my attention that people who are no longer posting are coming on daily to use their email accounts on here to chat with others. If youÂ’ve got something to say about raw, say it on the board. Otherwise itÂ’s not the place for you to be sending personal messages to each other about things other then what is related here. (This really shouldnÂ’t be any big deal, you can obviously still find each others email address through their user profile. So, if you want to be contacted please make that option available for people to see in your user profile)
3) Please do not post pictures of yourself in the photo journaling area unless you are:
A) keeping a journal
B) Showing us your fabulous before and afters!
(These are always welcome!)
You do not need to keep a journal if you just want to post before and afters. You may want to mention underneath these pictures, that they are before and afters so we know that they are.
Miscellaneous pictures and glamour shots with no journals will be deleted. We need to clear up this bandwidth so we can assure faster loading time and smooth sailing on the boards.
4) Posting a picture or two of food in the main forum board is totally acceptable but please do not go crazy and post HUGE pictures and lots of them on one post.
5) There are some new moderators here. Cherie has done such a wonderful job here but is getting burnt out doing it alone. Carmel is working full time for me in other areaÂ’s of my business. So, we have asked Raw Priestess to join our family of moderators. Her postÂ’s are always uplifting, helpful and in line with my thinking about raw. There may be others coming on board as well with us to help keep the board organized and on track.
Thanks again everyone and I hope you all continue to be inspired and supported by this board. I know many of you consider this a safe space in a non-raw world and I promise to do my best to keep it that way. There are a lot of different personalities on these types of boards but please notify us of anyone you feel is not abiding by the mission statement posted here and we will do our best to keep this a peaceful, nurturing, uplifting place of support for people striving to do their best on a raw food diet.
Thank you!
