Spaghetti Squash

The zucchinis were practically rotting at my co-op so I bought a spaghetti squash instead (for Alissa's spaghetti recipe). Will this work, has anyone tried one raw?

Hi,
I use to love it cooked but now that I want to eat it raw how do I cut it with what and how do I get the strains out of it.
If you can tell us I know others will appreciate knowing how.

i had to soak mine in warm water and put it in the oven on the lowest setting ( mine goes pretty low) for a couple hours. then i left it in there overnight and in the morning it was soft enough to get the strand out. remember the strands go across not lengthwise so just take a fork and scrape it. if it is not as soft as you want , soak it in a little salt water , not too much salt, or it will taste , well salty. :)
