Hi, all :)
As I'm still in the detox phase (and still waiting for Alissa's book to come in . . . it'll have been a two-month wait for me :( ), I know I will be greatly inspired to hear the benefits you've experienced on raw. So brag to me! What changes have you seen? And if you want to include the weird detox stuff you had to endure to get there and/or how long it took, all the better! I'd also be curious as to how long you've been raw.
Thank you so much!

I have better oral health (teeth and gums are fantastic)
I have even moods
I have better concentration
I have brand-new hair growing in
I have hair growing in much darker
I have soft feet
I have feelings of contentment and balance
I have a fantastic diet
I have no problems with teeth clenching in my sleep any longer
I have no problem with weight
I have no "food issues"
These -- and more I can't think of at the moment -- all from a lowfat, raw vegan diet. I had no "detox."

Crazy how raw doesn't just affect how you look, like most other diets do. It seriously affects all aspects of how you FEEL, including emotional and spiritual.
I've been too fixated on how raw will make me look. Thank you for reminding me of ALL the other benefits!
Keep 'em coming. Your two testimonies so far were greatly encouraging!
A lot of what what stated but also
more inner calm and clarity
stronger faith and trust
brighter eyes--which i love
less poor breath esp when i just woke up :D
fast growning hair and nails
less food cravings--(when i decreased fruit and added more fat)
less pots and pans to clean
my FAVE less bloat and constipation
self confidence because I am sticking to a COMMITMENT no matter what
more sensitive and genuinely caring towards others....
my detoxing is continuing still..but
rashes , fatigue, flu-like symptoms that never really go away or get worse.., ear aches, red skin patches..barely noticable, weird and vivid dreams, emotional, cry easier hmm i am sure more but cannot remember now....

You mentioned you no longer grind your teeth at night. What's your thinking on why a raw foods diet releaved you of this. I clench my jaws at night and often wake up with headaches. You have given me hope, but I want to know more!

It is indirectly related. By finding balance in the food I eat and getting the essential nutrients I need from an ultimate eating plan, I have alleviated many peripheral issues. For example, now that I get the proper amount of fat in my diet (good fats -- Omega 3's -- essential fatty acids to feed the brain), it incidentally leads to contentment, clear mind, better concentration, and calmer, better moods. This in turn, relieves anxiety and stress which is a -- if not the - major cause of teeth grinding.
So, no, it's not like just eating raw food will automatically relieve bruxism; I believe one would have to find an eating plan *and* lifestyle which will contribute to a healthy body and mind. Then the stress is relieved, the anger, the depression, etc., which then will alleviate the issues which stem from them, such as bruxism.
Many people, for example, who deal with past issues under the care of a psychiatrist or psychologist are able to have such issues clear up. So many real physical symptoms are emotionally and or mentally related.
