I'm trying to clean up my candida and following the Rainbow Green Live-Food Cuisine by Gabriel Cousens.

But dang, it is tough! I want a sweet fruit so bad. But, thus far, 5 days, I've managed to stay clean.

My question -- what do you eat???? I seem to overload on nuts. That can't be too good. Breakfast is my hardest challenge. A big green salad for breakfast just doesn't fit. ANd green smoothies are out, cause I can't sweeten them with fruit.

So how to those that do it, do it?

To top all of this off, this weekend I am taking a group of kids on a retreat and have no idea what to do about my food! It will be impossible to take it all with me, as I have 8 of us and all of our luggage in one suburban. I know a ice chest will not fit. I'm wondering if our sleeping bags will fit!

Okay, I'm ranting, but desperately wanting some help. Thanks!!!!!

First of all, how do you know that you have candida. Were you diagnosed? If so, by whom? Most doctors couldn't recognize candida if they saw it. And second, why should fruit be off limits even if you did have candida?

Reason you overeat on fats is to make up for your calories you miss in fruit. Otherwise you'd have to eat at least a gallon of greens and other veggies in order to feel fulfilled. It might be easier for you just to fast for a couple of days. :)

How about trying a little low glycemic fruit like grapefruit kiwi some organic berries or something.--just int he morning NOT all day. I suffered a lot because i was eating fruit for lunch and sometimes dinner and i was quite bloated.

How about trying fruit only for breakfast in smoothies..the greens may help it and greens and less nuts for lunch and dinner.
Keep a journal on how you are feeling after a week or 2 then reevaluate then. I was told by several raw followers that some fruit is okay and not the enemy that was once percieved.

Follow your inner gut and try not to panic. I suffer a lot of food allergies and worried to much about food intake and that made me feel even worse!!

Breathe and listen to your body.
