Hi all,
I recently got a health report from diagnose-me.com which sort of scared me into really reviewing my diet and health. one thing it suggested was a raw foods diet. So here I am! I'm very ignorant on how to start and worried about how to make sure I get enough protein (I'm hypoglycemic and the only 'diet' that has helped with that is a high protein/low carbs mix). I don't want to get the shakes again but I sure do want to have more energy and lose weight!

Any ideas on where to go for even a shopping list to start would be great. I live in a small town with only one medium sized grocery store (and one Walmart) but I can travel to a larger city if needed to get the right foods.
Thanks in advance for advice!

hi bb , ive been a strict vegan for 13 years and now raw foodie for like 6 months and heres how ive come to get the protein i feel i need . i make a granola by grinding in blender , to bb sized bits , walnuts , almonds , sunflowerseeds , sesame seeds , and any other nut or seed you like , along with dry fruits like raisins , pineapple and dates . i eat this out of bowl with spoon , i sprinkle cinnamon on and if want i cut up fresh fruit like banana , oranges , strawberries or other berries to mix in . i also make this a trail mix with out grinding it up and carry it in the plastic screw top jars peanuts are sold in so i can take it anywhere and just "drink" it out of jar . good day :)
