NOT SURE WHERE TO POST THIS MESSAGE TO GET FEED BACK. So I just copy/paste it here from my "30 Day Challenge Journal" "Emmaann" :) ! Let me know where this message would be appropriate!!! THANKS!!!

Wanted to comment on my day before this "agony" passes and I don't journal about it!! hahaha!! I woke up with cramps this morning. No, not period, cramps, more like when you eat too much and then you try to run, cramps. Its really had me in a stooper (if thats a word) and its still there. Its going on 3p.m. Its in the front down low on the right side of my body. Its not a pulled muscle, either. I feels like maybe my intestines are in knots or something, or an organ is cleaning out or something. I have been all raw, several times.(short periods of time, like 4-14 days). I have been 80-90 percent raw for two months (once), and I usually sat at around 50 percent raw most of the time, throughout my life. So I am a little freaked about this! So I didn't eat this a.m. and drank 2-32 oz jugs of water. One with some lemon squeezed in it. I ate some cucumbers later and drank my parsley, carrot, apple juice. Now I am eating cherry tomatos and those big fat purple grapes.
THANKS FOR LISTENING!!

hey emma,

how long has this pain been going on? are you having regular good BM's??? The colon is on the right side and usually the lower right side abdomen pain is associatd with the colon---upper would be liver/gallbladder etc. but dont' depend on my answer it's just info i read on the health websites. When you apply pressure do you feel better?

When I started my raw eating and the other juice fast, i did not have bm/s on a regular basis like I should so I felt terrible on that juice fast but this time around, I first added fresh fennel and juiced fennel to my diet and then I added ground flaxseeds to my eating for a week and have had wonderful consistent life-changing bm's and now I am doing my juice fast and have had no complications so far---I feel like it's moving right along.

keep us posted,
linda :p

How are you feeling this day. Reading that you were munching on the cherry tomatoes and big purple grapes, can cause some bloating, extra pain etc. Be mindul. :)

Hi Emmaann~

The pain your describing sounds like you may be attempting to pass some fecal matter, and with some people it can get balled up in the tight turn from the small intestine (by the appendix) as it moves on up into the ascending colon. That is in the lower right quadrant as you described.
Anyways...just an educated guess from your description. The biggest things that help are: lots of water, an herbal bowel softner, psyllium, and of course RAW apples:) (the pectin from the apple works like psyllium does.) It usually resolves within a day for most people.
I worked with a nauturopath for quite awhile, and gleaned alot of info from her:) I hope you are feeling better soon!!! Michelle
