View Full Version : Soaking Flax for crackers
When cracker recipes call for soaked flax, what measurement of water should I use?
For example:
4 cups whole flax seeds, soaked 4-6 hours
1/3 to 1/2 cup Braggs Aminos
juice of 2-3 lemons
Is it a 1:1 ratio?
Thanks for your help!

Enough water to cover, that's usually sufficient. If too thick after soaking, add a little more.
And do a search on Bragg's here to see several recent threads about why many of us have stopped using it. :)
Yep, Shivananda, I'm thinking of giving Bragg's up. I am at the bottom of the bottle. I love Nama Shoyu more. Now that will be hard. My problem is finding a salad dressing I like. I've tried so many, esp. from this site, and I throw it away and squirt my Shoyu instead.
Thanks for your reply about the flaxseed water.
