Dang, long story short but when I first joined the forum, I had intense back and neck injureis and bed ridden......hadn't ran in over a solid year and back then, I was doing 10-15 miles everday with one or two major hills.
Anyway, Todd was not a runner when I joined this forum in 2004. Since then I have "read" about him going from 0 to 10 miles and forthing at the mouth to one day heal enought to stride!
"it's all good,"

Wow........its so wonderful to hear news like that! :D I have been away for about a week and just got to going over my messages. Linda that is fantastic! Yep I did go from zero to 8 miles 3x per week with weights in my hands. I actually ran 13 miles a couple of times. I have now cut back to 3 miles 3x per week (no weights for now). It all happened after I went raw. ML, it wont be long now until you are back to your old form (but better than ever). Don't overdo it and hurt yourself in your zeal though ;)
Peace.

Hill running is awesome, albeit hard work ! So good for you !!! ;)
I was up to running 4 miles uphill at one time, 12 miles of varied hills. I dropped back due to the knees. Now that I am not so concerned about adding muscle my Goal is to get back to that 4 mile hill run.
I will leave the hand weights to our Man Todd !!!!!

I live in the beautiful hilly Finger Lakes Region among the many wineries and grapevines. I can literally run 4 mile straight up hill, with few dips in the terrain ! Its awesome, but taxing. In the Summer my favorite easy run in around the Bluff of Keuka Lake.
and this is my view from my land where we are now building... top 4 pictures.

Well,,,,,,,our water bay here is turning into a waterside golf course. At least those putters keep the grass green ;)
