Due to the fact that nearly everything is shipped to the island here, whenever I buy a lot of fresh fruits and vegies, they end up going bad really fast. I therefore usually have to cut everything up and put them in the freezer. (things like mellons, papaya, blueberries, broccoli, cauliflower, kiwis, etc.)

Does this harm the food? Is it still considered raw if I freeze it? What if I buy already frozen vegies at the store (those are much easier on my budget then fresh)? The bag label claims the vegies and fruits are "fresh frozen". Is this just an oxymoron? Does the freezing destroy the living enzymes?

It won't harm your foods to freeze them, except you do loose some enzymes,

If you buy allready fresh frozen fruits and veggies, usually they are blanched before freezing, means they dip them in boiling water, not raw.

Oh, Ok thanks for that info. I did not know that....no more frozen vegies for me....

But freezing them after buying them fresh should be ok, right?
