NEW QUESTION: Is there a gentle way to detox on raw foods??..am quite toxic..in the past when going totally raw the detox was to hard
I know stress has something to do with it & being without work isnt helping.

hey newbie in Kansas!
I was inured in September and have major spasms in my neck and back.....i'm getting into raw but in the mean time, you know what works great on spasms??? Magnesium--I use a powder form made by Dr. Gillian. My ND has it at his clinic so I purchase it here. If you are interested, I can give you the webiste that has it.
Good luck on your rawness!!!
luv,
linda :p

WOW!!! that was a fast reply..I did try the magnesium you talked about but I did not get help...perhaps I did not use it for a really long period of time...these spasms (to me) somewhat bordered on seizures.

Hey Michael, One of the interesting things about utilizing nutrients, is that if the intestines are not @ optimal health, then your aborption is poor. Perhaps the raw food will help you with that and also lemon water in the morning is a great cleanser for the intestines, removing mucous and removing toxins!
you mean your spasms are so bad--they feel like seizures?

linda :p

Welcome, Michael! If you eat a small portion of cooked food (maybe quinoa or steamed veggies) or eat more fatty foods like nuts, avocados, etc. you tend to detox quite a bit slower. You will detox fast if you juice. Let us know how you are doing!

thanks for all the ideas..a few years ago I went through some health related issues that, as a result of, taught me how to eat better..I feel the was divine guidance..I lost lots of weight and felt better than I had for a long time..probably felt better than I ever had..was eating lots of salads, apples, bananas, raisins & drinking lots of green drinks. I got back to the old ways when having the 8 months of muscle spasms (yes, Linda some seemed more like seizures)..toward the last month or so of the spasms I would be soundly sleeping when it felt like someone was stabbing me in the upper arms..I would wake up and fight to get out of bed..I went to the shower and ran hot water over my arms the put ice packs on them..I would go back to bed and within 15 minutes or so the whole thing would happen all over ..resulting in very little sleep. I am now trying to incorporate much more raw food into my daily eating knowing what happened to me a few years ago. I will try the lemon juice in the morning + nuts & steamed veggies. I know the chiropractor said I have lots of mucus & toxins to deal with ((so much that I glow in the dark)) HA! Linda: I have been reading about that soulmate neighbor who has moved away...VERY INTERESTING

that's intersting, i've been reading alot of "alternative remedy" websites that associate kidneys ,liver/gallbladder with pain inneck back and arm. I'm glad that you found rawness to bring you back to health--are you keeping a journal online too?
Hey, I'm more than willing to hear a "male's" perspective on this whole STALKING issue--OOPS! I mean SOULMATE issue.

you are so funny!!!!! I am not keeping a journal of any kind (guys dont do that..ha..ha!!!)..every so often I try to write down what I am eating in a day but that is as close to a journal as I will get. How is the stalking..I mean soulmate thing going..what is that like...I dont remember..must be old times disease...are you keeping a journal of the stalking/soulmate thing??? You might think of posting that in the proper area. Just ordered a new book called THE TREASURES OF SIMPLE LIFE...the process of getting better health brings me to "the natural" things in life...suppose we could get back to the Garden of Eden????????

"Garden of Eden"...you are thinking wrong...I refer to the time before the fall..I seem to remember it was the fault of Eve..and woman has been getting man into trouble ever sinc (boy am I in trouble). A friend of mine told me about a man who got tired of the rat race so he moved to Montana & spent the rest of his life living simply...so I did a Google search for "simple living"..one result was the story of this family...they left the rat race and built a home in the middle of the forest & are evidently still there raising 2 children..............I will snoop..I mean look up your other thread about that soulmate Heres looking at you kid-o Mike

Ah but remember, men have bad memories. so the accurate TRUTH had to be told by Eve :p
So, this book that you've discovered, what made you decide to change your lifestyle??? Life changing experience?

Perhaps eating better quality food has changed me..and now I enjoy nature and the
more "natural" things in life..I am a small town kid anyway
What...no more soulmate info??????
