I am unable to digest raw vegetables, such as broccoli, carrots, cauliflower. As a result, I am wondering if the raw food diet would be for me. Can anyone comment please?

You could eliminate those particular foods from your diet as there are so many other choices. But you could also marinate them in olive oil and celtic sea salt and let them sit at room temp. for a few hours or if you have a dehydrator (you can get a great and inexpensive one at Walmart or www.walmart.com for under $50...just make sure it has a temp. control) place the marinated veggies in the dehydrator for a while and they'll soften and become easier to digest.
But again, you don't "need" those veggies...the variety of raw foods is great! Fresh fruit, non-sweet fruit (cucumbers, tomatoes, red/orange bell peppers, etc.), tender leafy greens (green leaf or romaine lettuce, baby leaf spinach) are there for you to enjoy! I don't even eat broccoli or cauliflower (unless it's blended up in a recipe) so you can definitely have a raw lifestyle with or without those particular veggies!

anajinn,
i agree with rawkinlics about the great variety of foods so no worries.
i also couldn't digest raw broccoli and cauliflower, but i do the following and can now enjoy them:
1. use them in blended soups/salads
2. for kale, collards, etc. -- green smoothies are a dream!
3. take a good digestive enzyme like the one alissa sells
hope you are now inspired to begin a raw foods lifestyle -- you'll feel great!
many blessings!
