hard dates, yum

Last night I went into my cupboard to eat some lovely dates, and somebody had left the lid open. Now I donÂ’t know how long it was open for cuz I have two stashes
(Kitchen and bedroom) but when I took them out they were almost hard, and chewy. OH my lord I ate 8or9 of them
I'm going to leave a few in a loose lid container see how long it takes for it to happen. God I am in love, they taste like candy. I hope they are not bad or rotten

ummm, check for worms. :( I found in a not-so-good way that the cupboard is not a good place to keep dates.

Keeping them in the fridge will make them last longer AND makes them hard too! :)

Usually you get the worms in your cubbard if you have moths. When I was growing up we always had to check our food to make sure the moths hadn't laid eggs in it. It is sooooo gross taking a bite of a cookie and seeing a wiggling larvae looking back up at you. ICK
