Congress voting on food safety law

I got an email today about a bill congress is voting on to decrease food safety laws. It will take away state and local rights to label foods that are genetically engineered, irradiated, contain mercury, and will decrease organic labeling standards because it takes away state and local rights to label foods differently from national guidelines. This is HR4167, the national food uniformity law. To get more information and to sign the petition to vote against this bill, go to:

They are voting on this law on 3/2. It is led by big grocery companies and food manufacturers.

I love that OCA website. Anyone eating raw should check it regularly. It makes it so simple to send letters to congressmen, etc. by simply putting in your name & address and CLICKING! I love it. Plus there is a boatload of scary and interesting info on the site. You could spend hours reading.

I've used it to send letters regarding organic foods, cotton, labeling, pesticide use, GE foods and GM foods, mad cow, forestry practices, and a host of other topics.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. They always gotta mess with the food it seems. Notice how it is getting harder to find truley raw and organic?
