Hi Everyone It's been awhile since I have posted. I'm not sure anyone remembers me. I have been struggling with what program to follow to lose weight, feel better, and to lose my habit of sitting down and falling asleep. I finally retired from my job to be able to focus more on getting myself healthy. I tried McDougall which turned out disasterous, all that cooked starch and cooked grain had me wheezing and coughing up copious amounts of congestion. So next I gave low carb a try, well let me tell you what it didn't do for me. I was so tired and weak I had to take a nap to recover from my previous nap. Plus my arthritis kicked in full force. My running days were over. So I remember how good I felt the last time I was raw, so here I am, I have a confident feeling that this is going to be my ticket to feeling on top of the world again. After I get thru with this bout of detox. My running has improved this last week that I have followed this raw food way of eating, hopefully I can get my weight back under control too. I have been running on the treadmill Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for 40 minutes, and I am slowly getting my stamina back. I do Taebo on the days I don't run. The only thing I notice is that the running kicks my rear and I am tired for the rest of the day. I'm hoping it was just because of horrible eating habits and it will quit in time.I also use the machines at the gym for upper body and abs. Well I've rambled enough hope everyone has a nice day. Judy

Yes we do seem to have quite a few raw fooders in the Port Orchard area. I think a few years ago someone tried to organize monthly potlucks but it didn't work out. I was never able to go because I was working all kinds of crazy hours. I went to Tacoma and hit both MarleneMarket and Deli and the produce stand on 6th, so I should be all set for awhile. I noticed today that my nose cleared up, I am hoping to get my sense of smell back. I know nothing can make me feel 25 again, but if I could just feel a little younger I will be satisfied(LOL). Have a great evening, Judy ;) :p
