thanks

I know you can dehydrate almond pulp to make almond flour to use in dehydrator recipies. Perhaps you can use the sesame pulp the same?

Good idea Jinxie...also, perhaps after drying it out and grinding it in the coffee grinder, you could process it with a little oil and make a tahini of sorts? Or, maybe blend the dried pulp in smoothies.

I've never tried sesame milk. Is it good?
Yesterday, someone told me it was bitter.. is this true?
When my milk maker arrives I'm gonna try ALL the nuts in it!

I think in Eating Without Heating theres a recipe for cookies that calls for sesame pulp. I can't check at the moment because it is packed up because I am moving. Do you happen to have that book? If not I'm sure you could sub it for almond pulp in another recipe :)

Yeah, there is a recipe in there...if you don't have 5 c. of pulp, you can either halve/quarter the recipe OR...freeze the pulp until you build it up to that amount! ;)

===========
5 c. sesame seed pulp
2 c. raisins
3 TBS. raw honey (or agave)
Juice of one orange
Blend raisins and orange juice in food processor until mixture is finely pureed. Add to a bowl with the sesame seed pulp. Add honey (or agave) and mix thoroughly.
Spread the mixture onto Teflex sheets using a spatula, cut into squares. Sprinkle with poppy seeds and dehydrate at 100 degrees for 12-15 hours or until dry.
Makes 15-20 cookies.

I made sesame milk today and I didn't like it at all :eek: ...not sure I could say it was bitter :confused: but not tasty to me. I will stick with almond milk. I sadly threw it all away :( (milk & pulp) so no good ideas sorry
