Hi all,

I am 35 weeks pregnant and at the end of week 2 in my 30-day raw challenge.

I have a daily big salad with plenty of fresh spinach and parsley and I eat dried fruits like appricots. Two weeks ago I also started getting Blackstrap mollases in capsules. I am planning a homebirth and the midwives were adamand I should take the capsules lest I have no homebirth.

My iron levels at the end of the third trimester when I was high raw and not eating almost anything because of bad morning sickness, was borderline.

I had another blood test almost 2 weeks ago and the verdict is I am slightly aneamic. Surely, I hadn't started eating raw and taking the mollases, but I am afraid of what the midwives will say. I will ask them to do another blood test next week when I see them.

In the meanwhile, what other ways are to get even more iron into me to get super-prepared for the blood test ?

Thank you

Esther

Thanks

Esther

Get some unsulfered dried prunes; some unsulphered black seedless raisins and some black mission figs (unsulphured, of course :) ). Soak them overnight. Next day, drink the water, eat the fruit. Do this daily.
