I have been doing the green smoothies for several weeks now and ever since the first week my bowel movements have turned green. :o Is this normal? Should they stay that way?

Yes, it's normal as your bm's reflect what you've eaten/drunk.

Thanks Revvell, that's what I thought. I have been eating a lot of spinach in my smoothies lately. :o

The green will get less intense as your body will absorb more chlorophyll than now, but they still will be greenish. I did have constipation(not bad, but still not very soft) at the beginning several weeks, and if I would do it all over again, I would have enemas or even several colonics, so my body would have had easier time getting rid of old stuff in my colon. Now after I had them, even my waist became as before childbirth.

what did you include in the smoothies, I mean what percentage green?
I use green juice, I get on well with that, but am considering introducing smoothies, especially after reading your post! :)

That'll do it as spinach is full of iron. I also add lots of spinach in my smoothies. Makes for "smooth" bm's. :D

I mostly used dark kale and collard greens. I made it with so much fruit, so it would not taste bitter. My guess is around half fruit- half greens. Celery tastes good in smoothies too, so I counted that as fruit too.
If you use green juices, you could make yourself enema and after it have an implant with 2 oz of green juice(try to hold it for 30 minutes if you can)-that cleans out the colon very well and gives you nutrients too. I just started doing that several times a week with wheatgrass juice.
