Ok, I was really happy to finally find greens other than spinnach (and lettuce) and I got a big bunch of organic kale yesterday.
Normally I blend up my spinnach in an avo and lemon and stuff kind of sloppy gooey dressing which is yum over my salad and gets the greens in all tastey like - BUT I tried it with kale and it was horrible (IMO). Maybe I shouldn't have added the stalks too but I reckon its the leaves that were so strong.
The kale has a much more strong taste, a bit of a 'bite' to it.
Does anyone have any ideas what to do with kale??
If I weren't 100% at the mo I would steam it very lightly.
I guess I could try using it for roll-ups but maybe it's just a bit too strong for me afterall. I'm open to ideas though :)

This is from my book, its unbelievably good, but you have to use the avocado, thats what 'creams' it as you 'knead' the salad. You could leave out the oil is you want
Kale Salad
While I was away, Chad Sarno was visiting in my area and prepared some of his dishes. Upon my return, everybody clients and friends alike were raving about this salad. One taste and I found out why! Even if you never liked kale, try this. Its simple to prepare and tastes so good!
1 head kale, (any variety is great) shredded
1 cup tomato, diced
1 cup avocado, chopped
2 1/2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 1/2 Tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon Celtic Sea salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
In a mixing bowl toss all ingredients together, squeezing as you mix to wilt the kale and creaming the avocado. Serve immediately.

Hi Kristi!
Cor... well it's more of a sound than I word I guess, say it out loud and that's the sound (I guess it's English?!) we make when something sounds really good or yummy.
Cor yum! - for example
or..
Cor, that sounds good!
I guess it 'means' the same as wow.
:D
Good luck with the greens!

I saw that recipe last night, it looked good! I've been eating my first kale the last few days. It does have a strong flavor, but I love knowing how good it is for me. I've been making huge kale sandwiches that are so good! I use Alissa's pizza bread recipe, use a slice on the bottom and top for bread, then put some nut cheeze spread on each piece and black olives, then a couple kale leaves. I've REALLY enjoyed these sandwiches, they are sooooo good! Very dense and heavy, a good meal for football games in front of the TV this fall when other people are scarfing chips and junk.

What I do to prepare Kale is massage Celtic Sea Salt into the Kale to break down the cellulose fibers. The texture resembles a "cooked" food more closely that way. Then I add the flavorings and oils and avocado and so on...
