I really really enjoy spices on my salads to give them some bite..I sprinkle on cayenne, turmeric, cumin and coriander.

I have read that turmeric in particular is quite a health tonic...my question is:

How much of the spice do you need to take to get any benefit? If I only really have maybe 6 good shakes of each on my salads, do you think even this small amount helps?

Great question. I incorporate spices for flavoring and also medicinal purposes too. I'm thinking that on raw as our bides increase in cleanliness and efficiency, we don't need as much as some site suggests.

I use them sparingly as I can feel the potency.
