Hi!
Just wanted to share my first successful raw reciepe with you all!
I wanted something to replace the chocolate balls we usually get for christmas. They are made of rolled oats, a lot of butter, some suger and cacao powder. I needed something sticky to make it up for the rolled oats and butter, and something sweet for the sugar, and here is how it turned out:
Three dried dates
Two dried abricots
Half a cup of soaked almonds
One half tablespoon of honey
A handful of dried coconut
And some cacao powder to taste
I chopped up the dates, abricots and almonds until it was sticky and very fine in the structure. Then I added it all to a bowl and mixed in with the rest, really a hard job due to the toughness of it. In the end though, I could roll it into little balls and roll them in a little more coconut.
It made about 15 very nice tasting small bowls for my DH and I to enjoy a friday evening.
If you have a food processer or something else, I think this one would be fairly easy. Also I believe that the nuts and the abricots could easily have been exchanged to something else. When I mak them again, I will try with more coconut..
I hope you enjoy! :p
